Royal Kludge RK100, Durock Daybreak Silent Linears, KAT PBT

Upgrading the stabilizers and keycaps are almost a must for this keyboard and really improve it quite a bit. I went a step further and got Durock Daybreak silent linears to swap in since I knew I needed to quiet the keeb a bit and wasn't about to pay >$1/switch for Zeal silent anything.

Fatal flaw on an otherwise excellent hot swappable keyboard.

BUT, modifying the case with foam, lubricating the switches and the stabilizers, and changing the keycaps to thicker ones will improve EVERYTHING exponentially. As I’ve mentioned, I purchased two of these keyboards. I’ve modified both of them with foam inside the case, replaced the switches with ones I prefer (with lubrication and switch films), and also replaced the keycaps with thicker PBT ones. After those modifications, typing on this keyboard has been a joy

Design

Good Feel, Great Switches, Mediocre RGB, Terrible Software, but overall WAY TOO LOUD!

This keyboard definitely meets that need, while being aesthetically stylish and feeling very responsive. The board its self is a nice 61-key compact keyboard. This means no F1-F12 keys, no arrow keys, no Home/Insert/Delete/Print Screen keys, and no ten key. The footprint it leaves on your desk is as small as it possibly can be without sacrificing basic needs in a keyboard and it's very pleasing because of it

It's okay but not for me

- Couldn't get it to work on the iPhone. - On the plus this keyboard is very aesthetically pleasing. I really wish they would make more mechanical keyboards for non-gamers as I'm not into the tacky gaming aesthetic a lot of these mechanical keyboards have.

Build Quality

My HK-Gaming Naos-M with some mods. Picture album + First impression

The skates are thicker than the Mira and have a smoother glide. The overall build quality feels great, no creaking or flexing or anything funky like that. The weight comes in at 59g with no holes in the side which is pretty impressive for a mouse this size. The main clicks are 20m omron and feel great, there is a tiny amount of post travel but nothing that I would ever notice while gaming or normal use as you have to press down rather hard and hold to actually notice it

Hello OP, the shortest answer is that the TVS Gold is the *only* keyboard amongst the three that has a decent enough build quality to last you for a substantial amount of time.

Great keyboard, Software is an absolute joke/disaster

You are going to be at the mercy of some poor team of programmers who were given a day to create it.

I like it quite a bit when it is working, but I find myself wanting to hurl it across the room about half the time I try to type on it.

Price Point

Alright value but you get what you pay for

The key caps feel really cheap because they are cheap. The stabilizers are loose and my space bar didn't even work. It's cool how you can swap switches and key caps but I'd spend a little more money and get a quality keyboard over a cheap keyboard that has a lot of gimmicks. I'd recommend spending your money on Kemove which has better quality parts and you can swap switches

Weight

Great Keyboard for Modding!

It is slightly heavier now, which is what I want, in order to achieve a more thocky sound. The additional weight comes from the car sound dampening foam. If you’re on the fence about grabbing a 60% keyboard for cheap and want to mod it, this is a good move for beginners not wanting to break the bank.

For it's price it's honestly pretty awesome.

Honestly for it's price, it's a very nice setup. The RK Red switches are IMO not bad once you add some lube to them. They are very cheap starting price so you can customize or mod them however you'd like and not feel too bad about it if something breaks while also having a very reliable keyboard underneath. My biggest complaint is that out of the box this keyboard has absolutely no weight to it
