Good Feel, Great Switches, Mediocre RGB, Terrible Software, but overall WAY TOO LOUD!

This keyboard definitely meets that need, while being aesthetically stylish and feeling very responsive. The board its self is a nice 61-key compact keyboard. This means no F1-F12 keys, no arrow keys, no Home/Insert/Delete/Print Screen keys, and no ten key. The footprint it leaves on your desk is as small as it possibly can be without sacrificing basic needs in a keyboard and it's very pleasing because of it

It is beyond the passable, and even good, craftsmanship you find in mass-produced keyboards from major manufacturers, including ones that charge more money for their more feature-rich designs. Priced at $90, the Drop ENTR is far and away the best pure typing experience you'll find for less than $100

The skates are thicker than the Mira and have a smoother glide. The overall build quality feels great, no creaking or flexing or anything funky like that. The weight comes in at 59g with no holes in the side which is pretty impressive for a mouse this size. The main clicks are 20m omron and feel great, there is a tiny amount of post travel but nothing that I would ever notice while gaming or normal use as you have to press down rather hard and hold to actually notice it

Backlight

The keyboard is great, the software isn't.

When I found this keyboard, I was surprised that it was this cheap for a 60% with Gateron switches. Upon receiving the keyboard, I immediately tried to customize the lighting on the keyboard, and just like how the reviews I watched on YouTube said - the keyboard's software wasn't good. I couldn't put custom hex codes, even though there were places in the software to do so. In the end, I stuck with just a plain white backlight

I will throw a bone here, as at least the letters are not painted on, but transparent and backlit so at least the lettering will not fade.

Price Point

Alright value but you get what you pay for

The key caps feel really cheap because they are cheap. The stabilizers are loose and my space bar didn't even work. It's cool how you can swap switches and key caps but I'd spend a little more money and get a quality keyboard over a cheap keyboard that has a lot of gimmicks. I'd recommend spending your money on Kemove which has better quality parts and you can swap switches

Don't buy this expecting a boutique or DIY keyboard experience

This keyboard is not what I've come to expect from Drop. The keystrokes are very harsh and clacky, the switches are not hot swappable, the lights are not even white like advertised - they are closer to a warm like like 5300k or something. The keycaps feel cheap and more what I expect to be on a Logitech G Pro but honestly, for the money - get yourself a logitech G Pro or similar - it will be a better experience in terms of UI and control. The drop keyboard is limited on features and tough to improve this platform due to the soldered keyswitches

Weight

Great Keyboard for Modding!

It is slightly heavier now, which is what I want, in order to achieve a more thocky sound. The additional weight comes from the car sound dampening foam. If you’re on the fence about grabbing a 60% keyboard for cheap and want to mod it, this is a good move for beginners not wanting to break the bank.
