Hisense U6G vs TCL 6 Series/R646 2021 QLED

To my surprise, I was less impressed with the Quantum ULED Roku TV than I was with the earlier R8 ULED model. The Quantum model lacks the on-screen motion-enhancement feature, and doesn't allow owners to attach the product's legs near the center, which would be convenient on smaller surfaces. The Roku interface is as great as ever, but this TV feels like a step down from Hisense's previous offering.

On the flip side, TCL’s Roku TVs support Apple’s AirPlay 2 and HomeKit protocols, but that’s not true of the Google TV models.

Having Dolby Atmos is a joke on TV speakers but I'd say they're decent all things considered. Overall it's not a bad TV. I certainly wouldn't buy it if it were more expensive, but considering how cheap it is, I'd still say give it a go if you're on the fence. Just be aware of the caveats before you dive in

It has a decent frequency response with a well-balanced sound profile that delivers clear dialogue. It gets very loud, with very little distortion, even at max volume.

Then I decided to pair the two Hisense voice remotes with two of my current Roku TV's and they worked immediately. So the Hisense voice remotes have an issue with their own TV. Ultimately, I'm satisfied just using a standard Roku remote for this TV.

When you first turn it on, you have to pair the remote to the TV. The remote barely worked, I had to press the button 10 times to get it to do anything. It took me over 10 minutes to enter my email address. I even tried new batteries

The only reason for not giving a 5 star is the Roku part of the TV. Best part of rook is the user interface and the size of the remote, but Sometimes the screen gets frozen due to the Roku instability and that causes abt 10-15 seconds of reboot. The alternative for this issue is to put a separate streaming device(I had a previous Apple TV box), so it works wonderful now. And did I mention that I use external speaker, so I can't comment on the speakers as such

adjustment in picture,sound, motion clarity,action smoothing, color temp took awhile..UI is easy and the remote is great, just need to get rid of the netflix,disney,hulu,and sling shortcut buttons.

Did reset to factory settings and could not set up it up again. Costco help put me in touch with Hisense to troubleshoot. Sent new remote and that resolved the issue.

This should no longer be an issue when I get my new receiver, but definitely a negative.
