 I literally had a 7 year old girl in my class today with this exact same snowboard and she was struggling hard core until I switched her out onto one of our Burton rental boards and she was immediately doing so much better. And this wasn't an isolated incident, my fellow instructors and I regularly switch kids off of Head gear in our lessons and tell parents at the end of the day to get a different snowboard for their child. They're seriously that bad.

I've been a children's snowboard instructor for the past 5 years and I can say without a doubt that Head makes the absolute worst children's snowboard gear on the market. These boards are too wide which means kids can't tilt them properly to get speed control on their edges, and they're too stiff with too narrow of a stance which means kids can't twist or flex the board to get any kind of steering out of it.  So yeah, some really good updates on that ski for this year.  We'll come back to that in a second, but first of all, here's Katie from Nordica just to run through some of the technical info on the ski. This is the Santorana 93 from Nordica, it's an advanced women's freeride ski, perfect ski for taking you through softer conditions all over the mountain. We've got an update in the titanal sheet where we've milled it out a little through this area here and through the tail, and what that does is it's reduced the torsional rigidity and made it a much smoother flip, so it handles softer conditions, cruddy conditions, it'll take you anywhere. We've had great feedback, very playful, easy to ski, but it'll charge really well as well

 Excellent. And I mean in terms of its width, it's 93, it's quite wide, it's going to obviously work in softer snow, but it's still feeling good when you're on the firmer snow? It didn't feel too wide to get it edge to edge, you could definitely ski on the firmer stuff perfectly well on it without feeling like you were on a really wide ski that was difficult to manoeuvre. And I mean, big rocker on this, big long nose, but I guess that's just contributing to the stability isn't it? Yeah, I mean to be honest I was on a slightly longer ski than you'd necessarily go on, but I quite enjoyed that, and because of that extra rocker you can go on quite a long ski, which obviously helps out when you are in the softer stuff, so it's quite versatile from that side of things. Excellent

The Santa Ana 93 shares the same name as the previous version but this model takes everything great from the old one and builds on it. True Tip reduces the overall weight and increases the manoeuvrability and playfulness by getting rid of excess ABS material and using more lightweight wood. Carbon Chassis brings the weight down further whilst also improving the strength and the stability. This is an all-terrain ski that shines in anything from hardpack to powder days, the shape makes it feel like a wider ski in soft snow and the construction ensures it deals with pistes and rough conditions.

 very mixed conditions, including some great conditions.

 as well, so you had to give the ski quite a good going over.

 And I mean in terms of its width, it's 93, it's quite wide, it's going to obviously
