 It's a little bit longer than I would normally go for with a ski. It's a 170 this one, but it never felt like that. I was actually quite surprised when I realised it was so long. 85mm waist width, so yeah, as I said, incredibly versatile and at £740 including bindings, it's actually very, very good value for money

 It's incredibly lightweight, Head use graphene in all their skis which keeps the weight insanely light, but also they make no compromises in terms of performance. Stability, versatility, responsiveness, it's got everything. We've just been up a little bit on the piste, a little bit off piste in some sort of choppy variable conditions, and this held out so, so well. It made me feel so confident

Really heavy. The bindings and boots you picked are par for the course looking at double-duty gear, but those skis are heavy even for dedicated alpine use. I am planning to take the splunge and put together an alpine/touring set up from my trips to NH/VT as well as out west in UT/CO. I expect to hit 70% resorts and 30% backcountry areas. I currently have a beater pair of rossi sky 7s and looking for a bit of upgrade to get a much larger taste of the backcountry. How well do you think my below powder snow touring set up looks:

 So any time you're seeing this amount of bounce on a ski underfoot, that's them building energy into the ski, using that camber to give the rebound and give the energy on the back end of the turn. Not a whole lot of rocker going on in this. You know, very, very minimal in the tip here. This says all-mountain all the way

 And then similar theory going on in the tail, pretty low rocker, minimal splay. And then we see that taper brought down to about here. So it's giving you that smoothness, you know, easy turning ability, decent in the soft snow, but really just a mild-mannered ski for most intermediate cruising, which, you know, if we're honest with ourselves, that's what most skiers are doing these days is intermediate cruising, and there's nothing wrong with that. It's a whole lot of fun

 You know, very, very minimal in the tip here. This says all-mountain all the way. A little bit of taper, you know, that is brought back a little bit. That's going to give you soft snow performance as well as shortening that sidecut radius

 Headcore X85 for you today. A little bit of a graphics refresh for this year, but the

 same ski that came out last year, kind of offering a mix between the regular Core Series

 skis and the V-shape Series skis, which is now just Shape. So it kind of leans more to

 that core side of the thing, of the spectrum, but has, you know, kind of that lower end

 build to give a more budget option for skiers that are looking for something energetic,

 lightweight, and just a whole lot of fun. Pretty simple skis, you know, the normal cores do

 have a lot of technology built into them. This one's a little bit more straightforward.

 We are built with a full wood core, and we get fiberglass and graphene added to the mix.

 So we don't have the carbon laminates of the regular core skis, making this thing just

 a little bit more user-friendly. Not quite as stiff and precise, but really just a well-rounded

 ski for a variety of skiers. You know, 85 millimeters underfoot with a relatively simple

 construction, and we're hitting a lot of skiers right down the middle, checking a lot of boxes

 for all-mountain performance. So yeah, wood core, graphene, and fiberglass, and that's

 about it. Put that in an 85 millimeter package, and we're good to go. You know, a lot of skiers

 most days of the year, this is going to be all you need. Pretty lightweight, 1,628 grams

 here. This is the 170, and we're looking at a 14.8 meter turn radius in this ski. So we're

 under 15 meters. This thing likes to turn, likes to be on edge, and we do have a lot

 of camber built in as well. So any time you're seeing this amount of bounce on a ski underfoot,
