I have get two of these over the last two years Both of them have broken there is a small blade retainer pen at the top of the blade that needs to be replaced with a haver pen on both the blade returner broke one one the thin blades are beritel

Don’t get me wrong this is a good blade. I primarily use it to cut out the belly bones and skinning fillets. And for this it shines. If you use it to cut through bones or thick skin just make sure you have a steel to touch up the blade

I have to be extra careful when closing it, but it's a great combination of price and performance. I also like the fact that you can get blades relatively cheap.

It rusts almost immediately. It is stainless steel but cheap and won’t hold up. It rusted after the first use. Of course you can scrub the rust off

Better than my forged lighter and sharper and more reliable and flexible very practical but musnt treat like a toy or a cheap knife id suggest working your way up to this knife for saftey reasons dknt carry unless you're comfortable with it

I purchased this as a replacement for a wood handled fillet knife that I lost along with my tackle box. My expectations were low due to the low price of this product. I was pleasantly surprised by the sharpness and durability of the knife. It could stand to have a bit more flex in the blade, hence the 4 star rating instead of the 5, but other than that it has performed well for 2 seasons of fishing both salt and fresh water
