Hamilton Beach Professional Digital 31240 vs Panasonic FlashXpress Toaster Oven

Tomorrow the plan is to roast a chicken and veggies. Bang for buck this machine will be in heavy rotation in my kitchen [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

After much searching I finally found another bulb sold by the Panasonic company but the bulb is upwards of $25. Very disappointed with this product that for the price it only lasts less than 2 years. I am not buying the new bulb. I'll have to go back to my regular toaster oven

They came out great - very hot. They did not crisp up or burn. I read the manual carefully, and "reheat" worked as it should have on the potatoes - hot but not browned. OK

The probe is a plus with this digital countertop oven. You are able to see when the food is cooked to the desired internal temperature & it has the auto shutoff feature.

I like to make “toasted” sandwiches (baked, actually) and that feature worked out well, too.

The only downside to this oven is the size. If you have a smaller kitchen, it does take up the same amount of space as a small microwave. That said, its earns every cubic inch in function. [This review was collected as part of a promotion

In fact, it is so bad that -- despite being a very good OVEN as far as the actual baking and toasting goes -- I got rid of it and just bought one made by a different company. I'd rather lose the money than have to keep using this infuriating thing.

THIRD use aluminum foil to protect the tray. I had a great toaster for over 14 years until this woman came over who did not listen when I asked her to stop what she was doing. Never spray a toaster directly on the machine. Spray onto a cloth and then clean

The time/slice button is used to adjust cook time or number of slices. The digital read out screen display will toggle between the oven's actual temperature, the temperature it's set on & will chime when the desired temperature is reached. Setting the time is a pain - one up button is all we get to scroll through the minutes. Leaving the button depressed causes the minutes to scroll automatically, but not always. To get to 25 minutes on the timer can take a lot of pushing. Speaking of 25 minutes, why is that the maximum time allowed? For bake potatoes, which come out great, I have to restart the oven after 25 minutes

I don't like that there is not a specific on/off button. For me it would be a little more user friendly if there was one. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

If you are excited to explain WHY it looks like a rice maker, because that's how toasters SHOULD look, then this is the toaster for you.
