I fall into an in-between range where some standard packs are too small but the plus size is too big. (I wear an 16-18 typically, apple shaped, with a long torso.)

The waist belt is narrow, with minimal padding. I weigh 197 pounds. It might be fine for a smaller hiker, but the small belt gets tangled with my pants belt. I prefer a wider belt, maybe 1 and 1/2 inches thick

Unfortunately, after one day of use, the loop attachments on the shoulder strap (can be used to strap in the water reservoir tube) started detaching and fraying, so it seems the quality of the backpack construction and the sewing is uneven.

Check out the rough material on the Manta 24 shoulder straps. It chafes and abrades your neck. Bottom line.
