Im not into looks as much as I am function. "its an axe". Stop looking at how well built and pretty they are and use it! I do believe that the $125.00 i paid for it is well worth it though i wouldn't pay much more than that unless you just want it for small work

I think the only things I would really change on this axe is the length of the handle and the weight of the head (I'm 6'3") as it just feels to short and skinny and a little light in weight. After my purchase it makes me wonder if a S.A. Wetterlings axe or a Husqvarna axe would have been a better choice but the Wetterlings doesn't cost much less than the GB so I bought the GB

Be sure that you are getting a real Granfors - they come in a yellow plastic bag, with the Axe handbook and a warranty card - mine did not. I believe mine is the real thing - but probably a return to Amazon. Very nice small axe but do not expect it to split wood, or fell trees - it is too small and too light for that work. Great for limbing or camping

I live in Pennsylvania, have a very small yard. I want it to be small but also nice, and I want to mow with a manual reel mower. I had a 14" scotts, but it only cuts up to 2 1/4", which after a year or using it (and speaking with a local landscaper) I felt it was too short.
