 These are taiwanese made. Ykk zippers, i can tell you already, which is okay um, they tend to be smooth. Go rocks take a little bit to get broken in, as you can see, um like this will take a little while to get smooth, whereas something like this bullet, which is already broken in, is just very smooth, but that's okay anyway, so that's it packed out. That'S kind of what it looks like i really like the shape the shapes a little bit more like this

 They gave one of my favorites. The radio ruck is a goruck bag. That is small. Basically, it's for small frame people - i am a short short person um, it's it's! It'S short in stature like a and normally a gr1 would be something like this i'll show you next to my bullet

 I think that that's going to be good in use to be honest, i'll put this guy in there there you go so i've packed out like that and there's like still space on top of where this dead matsuda is so wallets in this pocket. Since i don't use my wallets very much and uh, let's see so my keys in this front guy my mask because i tend to use those things and this top one i'll put my corona stuff this and this this zippers are all ykk. These are taiwanese made. Ykk zippers, i can tell you already, which is okay um, they tend to be smooth

 I dig it laptop in the back here laptop in the back now. This is something we're probably gon na have to talk about, so i don't know how big your laptops are. This is a 13-inch macbook, air and uh. It fits like, like i mean, there's like, maybe that much space there

Laptop compartment does not fit 15 inches laptop ... maybe 14 inches laptop will fit, my lenovo x390 is okay, but msi gs65 does not fit, not even close

I would say if the laptop compartment can really fit my MSI GS-65, it would be the perfect Ruck

with laptop sleeve in the main compartment is okay (a little tight), but than there is no false bottom protection for it

 So that's what the radio rock is all about not offered very often so if this one applies to, you definitely go check it out now, link in the description on how to get one and go check out the radio rock there. It is the quick and dirty on the radio, ruck goruck's original bag that uh before the gr1 and a comparable size, 21 liters, but again a little shorter frame without a frame sheet. So very nice bag not exactly like the gr1 little subtle differences.  But still you get this deeper rook for maybe deeper items that, whatever you carried, maybe a larger camera bag that you're going to throw in here some other items. They just want that deeper size. This would be the right size for you important to note, though. The big difference between this and a gr1 is the lack of the frame sheet

 So that's just something to point out again: just an all-around carry bag. I would not recommend putting steel plates in it if you were going to use steel plates i'd go with a rucker for sure, but if you were crazy enough to just want to get one bag and use it for everything and have that bomb proof pocket, you Could put a plate in here show a picture here of what that looks like how much gap you have to put a steel plate. I put the 20 pounder in there just to show you how big that would fit the 30 pounder would fit uh and it again it fits just fine, there's a little bit of a play in there, but not much, and i wouldn't recommend putting in the elastic Pocket because it's just going to fly out, crush whatever results is in there, maybe even slide up the hitch in the heads, and it's also rain proof. So, just like all the other goruck bags, um the material and the quality, is just fantastic and it's a rainproof bag

 It'S essentially a little bit deeper than the gr1 and a little bit shorter. The dimensions, if you care, are posted right here you can see the dimensions, it's only a half inch, uh different and some of the dimensions and it's really taller. Many climbers still retain some skepticism toward Osprey as a manufacturer for technical climbing packs. We did, too. Some of their packs have too many features and so many straps that they slap you in the face when you're on the hardest part of the climb &#40;classic&#41;. This pack has more features than some, but it can be slimmed down to become comparable with the simplest and lightest packs in this review. Overall, this is an excellent update to an already awesome mountaineering pack. It's a fully featured climbing pack and I'm just gonna run through some of my favorite features of this one now. so one of my favorite things is an improved back system here which is great for shedding snow and winter conditions and that still really breathable and very comfy to carry as well. It's Corso got a reverse wrap, sturb or hip belt with lots of gear racking options on there as well

A Review of the Osprey Mutant 38

 So that single aluminum stay can be taken out. If you want it to stay at home, and you can also remove that frame sheet as well to go even lighter weight in the back panel, we do have a comfortable foam airscape back panel, so fairly low-profile foam. Here, with a mesh top definitely breathable, it's going to wick moisture it's going to dry quickly, it's not going to be too cold or sweaty against the back, so very nice materials here, durable foam in the shoulder straps as well, and it is cut for breathability. So you get a lot of breathability enhancements in that shoulder

 You'Ve got easy access to some additional items, some emergency supplies or just things you need to keep secure. Then you can access the whole pack body really easy to get to everything. You do have a compression strap there. You can use that to lash a rope if you need to or just compress the gear that you have in the pack

 Strap the hip belt is a really unique design. We'Ve got a minimally padded hip belt and it is a reverse, wrap style, hip belt, so you've got a minimal, strap and the hip belt strap. If you're wearing a climbing harness. You can kind of unleash those hip belt

 The hip belt can be removed entirely load, lifter, straps, stabilize your load by moving the top of the pack closer to your back. The dual bungees and tool locks are made specific to work with ice axes. There are two daisy chains on the front for additional gear. There are two side compression straps to Snug down the pack and keep it from flopping around, while you're making your approach three dedicated and reinforced points

Osprey Mutant 52 Climbing Pack

The Mutant 38 delivers a sweet backpanel that helps with ventilation and minimizes moisture absorption.  Its structured padding system offers snow-shedding capabilities and is friendly to the lower back (especially when full of gear).  It has an internal frame with a removable framesheet and dual stays that add to its comfort and help stabilize the pack.  Using the framesheet as a sled on small ice fields is not recommended

Depending on your torso size, you can choose a S/M pack or a M/L fit. The S/M fits torsos 15in (38cm) to 19in (48sm), whereas the M/L fits torsos 18in (46cm) to 22in (56cm). The color tested here was the grey/red 2010 model. Over the years, the features below have remained, now in a blue fire color

  More often than not, I had my Tubbs FLEX ALP snowshoes attached to the Mutant because of my late-season hikes in Colorado.  Not much snow forced me to strap the shoes onto the Mutant with its compression straps.  Secure!  Perfect!

Gear Review: Osprey Mutant 38 Backpack

 The issue only occurs when the lid is full and flipped open to allow access the main compartment as shown in the photo. A clip with a strap tension lock could easily address the issue.

The straps on the back of the lid have a tendency to come loose when accessing gear in the main body if the lid is full.

Now I’ve only been using the Mutant 38 for about 30 days so far. This can make commenting on long-term durability difficult. However, the test pack still looks pristine despite being schlepped around in the Canadian Rockies and the Coast Range mountains for the last few months. Also, the older version of the pack which was basically made of the same material had no durability issues outside the packpanel that’s been changed anyway

As expected with an Osprey pack, the new Mutant is incredibly comfortable to wear regardless of how much or little gear gets crammed in. The hip belt and shoulder straps are nicely padded and the pack moves well with body. However, I do find that I have to loosen up the shoulder straps, lowering the pack or my helmet hits the lid when I look up.

 For some reason, Osprey never seem to give you straps that are the one size straps. They are always very, very long. Um, and if you want to lose a bit of extra weight, I mean, it doesn't make much for difference, but you can easily snip off a little bit and sew it back yourself. But it is a little bit of a nickel and it's only a little

 I've had many, many packs over the years, but this one has been the one that has stuck around the longest, which kind of gives you an idea of where this review might be going in the first place. Uh, it has now become my sole climbing pack as I have recently bought another pack and I've been using that for my walking and my mountain trips. But I'll be doing a review of that pack very very soon. So without further ado, let's get into the bones of the rucksack and see how it does
