This was not the camera for the job. Although the picture quality is excellent, everything else left much to be desired. The battery life is very short and if you do not have extras, your shoot will be severely put on hold. So your phones memory is constantly being written to when offloading from the GoPro camera and then again by exporting from GoPro Quick app to phone which wears down the memory chip in the phone. Not to mention it also creates duplicates, one on the GoPro Quick app and one on the phone wasting space and ultimately bumping into space problems when trying to export large media from app to phone. This design is terrible and has been reported by hundreds of people for several years and GoPro has done nothing about it. This design is obviously tied to them pushing their subscription cloud service which is a poor business practice and leads to people like me placing a big fat 1 star review

It's light and simple design should give you many years of faithful service capturing beautiful images.

The lens is sharp and you can set the camera to work in Raw format if you want. It's especially appealing if you want ultra-wide shots and don't want to invest in an interchangeable lens camera or upgrade your smartphone to a model with an ultra-wide lens.

The aperture is a 7-blade design, with rounded blades, so out-of-focus highlights will be fairly circular when the lens is stopped down. Close focus is limited to 2.6 feet, which you may find limiting if you're used to working with wider angle lenses that focus closer. The longer focal length does provide a maximum magnification ratio of 1:8

What struck me when I opened the box is the size and portability. This little camera is made to travel. It's unbelievably light, compact and durable. The cost compared with a full-sized DSLR makes it an easy choice to bring anywhere in any conditions

I do have to crop at times to get rid of the cluttered background but with the D600 camera, I have enough megapixel details to crop my pictures when needed. This is obviously a monster lens so I avoid taking it for street photos even though I've had some nice pictures and experiences on the street but it's so big..

Cons: *This GoPro is considerably larger and heavier than previous go pros. You are going to feel it if it is attached to your head or on a long extension. This is the price for a front LCD screen as well as improved image stabilisation I think.

I like using prime lenses. They lighter, cheaper (1.4 is an exception) and sharper that most pro zoom lenses. Photography is a hobby and I would not want to spend a lot for pro zooms that is why I settled on the next best thing
