Glorious Model O vs SteelSeries Rival 310

This is where my positivity ends. My issue with the MZ1 starts with the right side of the mouse. Unlike the generous comfort grooves on the left and front of the mouse, the right side is straight. This isn’t a problem in relaxed fingertip grip where your ring and pinky finger are either straight or in the areas where there are no mouse holes

It's a weird one, but I've found it decently comfortable, and it definitely subscribed to the Steelseries shape ideology of having a thin front and a wide base. It's slightly smaller than both the 310 and the DA across the board, except for the grip width. My favorite thing about the Rival 310 is that the grip width was pretty narrow once you took their shitty rubber grips off, even if it made the mouse slightly front heavy (this mouse is also slightly front heavy, but I haven't noticed it in game). I was hoping this mouse would be even thinner, but we can't always get what we want

+Middle click on the mouse-wheel works great without lurching the wheel around like other mice I've used recently -cough-EVGA-cough- Cons: -Sized awkwardly, the way the grip is designed it encourages your fingers toward the middle of the mouse instead of straight forward. Main clicking finger will wander to the side of the scroll wheel. -The back-button is placed exactly where I place my thumb for claw grip so it gets hit accidentally pretty regularly. -Texture on the side is a bit smooth, meaning you will need to grip tighter that you would expect

The form is now slightly smaller. It's not as long but still featuring all the similar curves very comfortable to hold great support for ringing pinky...

**Shape/Coating:** The shape of this mouse is low at the front while relatively flat which then dips in the middle and has an extended lower back. The Model O is typically compared to the FK series of Zowie mice. The mouse shares a matte coating across the whole body ignoring side buttons and DPI switch which are both coated glossy

Speaking of arches, one of the benefits of a well-designed left- or right-hand-specific mouse is that you get a horizontal arch that conforms to the position of the hand at rest. Mice as a group can contribute strongly to carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) and related nerve injuries if used to excess, it's true, but solid vertical and horizontal arches cut back on physical stress by providing better hand support over time. In that respect, the Rival 310 scores better than SteelSeries' other recently released mouse, the ambidextrous-design Sensei 310.

I think if your hands are slightly smaller than mine (1-2cm) you’ll like this mouse a lot. Finger positioning is good (two-three, two-two might be a little uncomfortable). Keep in mind I did not use the original Xornet or Spawn so I cannot provide a point of reference from there.

This design is pretty close for me. If you're a palm handler, you'll like or dislike, depending on your hand size.

And lastly they're both too light. My Viper Ultimate is actually scuffed on one side and good on the other but it's still too light

I’ve been through a g102, a Deathadder chroma, a SteelSeries rival 310, an EC2-a, and EC2-b, a g403, and a g502. This mouse just feels really comfortable for my claw grip and the weight difference is insane. It’s the lightest mouse I’ve ever owned and it’s taking some adjusting, but I’m absolutely in love.

So i have been using this mouse for about a week and half and I have very few complaints. It really is a top tier mouse for the money. The scroll wheel feels so nice and clicks are nice and crisp. The build is fantastic for a 60 dollar mouse and of course you get that rgb which is always a plus

I hope XM1R scroll wheel doesn't have the same fate as the one on my G305 in the future...

Whenever I lift up my mouse, there is a slight breeze of air that cools my sweaty hands, which feels satisfying. The shape of the mouse is perfect. I have medium-sized hands, and this mouse feels comfortable and perfect. I can easily palm grip this mouse comfortably

The sensor being used in the MOW is Glorious’ own proprietary sensor, with the name BAMF. It’s meant to be similar to the PixArt 3370 sensor, however I’m not 100% sure. Personally I've had no big issues with this sensor: no noticeable input lag, tracking felt accurate to my hand movement, no spinouts on any of my pads. I’ve noticed some angle snapping though, also seen complaints of it spinning out on the Ice pad and MP510

0s; the Pro Intellimouse with D2F-01Fs is my favorite click feeling ever -- not objectively the best, but my favorite.

Firmware: Changing the DPI is actually _really_ intuitive, although you can't really do it on the fly as it involves lifting the mouse off the pad, holding down both mouse buttons until you see the cursor bounce, then using L/R to adjust the DPI (which causes the cursor to bounce to indicate what DPI your at in multiples of 100), then lifting the mouse and holding both buttons again until the cursor bounces N times, where N is your chosen DPI / 100.

Overall for large hands, this is a great mouse that functions as it should for a low priced gaming mouse. My only issue with the mouse is that the rubber pads on both sides are starting to unstick form the mouse less than a year after I purchased it. I am going to have to look into gluing it with something better than it came with. But overall, a great buy

**con:** The big con for me was that this mouse has a dpi deviation of around 20% at 800dpi in the software for me. You can work around this problem and set the dpi down to 750dpi in the software to achieve a deviation of around 3%. I have tried an unofficial firmware update to the version V1104 which got me to a dpi deviation of 8%.

I have tried about 15 gaming mice in the last two months and this mouse is the most overwhelming. First of all they want you to create accounts and this takes time. The dpi button in the middle does nothing to increase or decrease dpi. I downloaded their software and there's no easy way to program different dpi's, there's only two sensitivities in two different circular graphics that are a nightmare to adjust
