Good board and keys, bad QC

Bad quality control. Ordered from EPOMaker, so I shouldn't have received bstock or a return. It was missing ALL of the screws from the front of the board, so the keyboard was just floating inside the plastic base. I was a bit concerned by this, so I pulled it out to check the back– those screws are all there, but some of the protective film around the USB port and a few other solder points was peeling away, as if it had been heated too much during soldering (shouldn't happen during manufacturing normally, but maybe somebody fixing something on the board manually caused this)

Terrible stabilizers, decent everything else, too many screws

This kit has some of the worst stabilizers i've had the displeasure of "using". Spacebar rattles and the other ones stick. To remedy this you can try cleaning them but not like Glorious instructs on their website with isopropyl alcohol; that murks the inside of the plastic housings and makes them abrasive and scratchy rendering them useless unless you take em apart and fully de-grease them in a soapy water bath then hand dry them after a rinse. Doing that reverts the lot back to usable (as in they will function) but with more rattle

The Romer-G keycaps are also bad shapewise and uncomfortable. But, I would say that if you don't care about the brand, get a Glorious GMMK. Even better, get the barebones edition for it; if it's available in your region. It's hot-swappable and compatible with many keycap sets, so you can get the exact key feel that you want to get

Not my favorite keyboard, works ok as an emergency backup

This keyboard is small and looks nice, has plenty of options with lighting. BUT where it goes wrong is the typing experience. I find that the keys are cramped and it doesn't have arrows or a number pad. I was asked by a friend to review this keyboard so I didn't purchase

Build Quality

A sturdy DIY keyboard with a lot of potential

The overall typing experience of my Kailh Speed Silver and PBT keycaps build was quite good. I was surprised by how well everything fit together, resulting in a light and rattle-free touch-typing experience that’s made all the more impressive considering the GMMK Pro isn’t pre-assembled. While I wouldn’t say that it’s the best feeling keyboard I’ve used out of the box, the GMMK Pro is definitely up there.

Perfect for everyday use, not so much for hobbyists.

It's heavier than you would think, and somewhat durable too. One caveat is its use of Gateron Opto-Mechanical switches. Because they use an infrared laser instead of a typical leaf, these are extremely smooth especially with lube and are quicker than regular switches. What that does mean, though, is that the "hotswap" feature only works with Gateron Opto-Mechanical switches; there is no room for pins whatsoever, so only buy this if you plan to keep the stock switches

Price Point

My first custom keyboard!

I think the price is totally worth it! I did end up buying the durock v2 stabilizers here on Amazon and I think that upgrade is a must before you assemble your board. The stock stabilizers were over lubed and just not great. I had no fitment issues putting in the durock v2s. Honestly for the price, just get those so you don't have to disassemble your whole bored again later

2023 PRODUCT REVIEW - FINAL VERDICT: MUST BUY

However, if you plan on keeping it fully stock and just want to know if its worth buying for around $50 fresh out of the box, then my answer is YES, THIS KEYBOARD IS EXTREMELY WORTH IT. Most to all of the downsides this keyboard has is extremely dependent on whether or not you like/dislike it, and if you think the cons I listed out aren't that bad, then you'll love this keyboard.

Budget board for gamers who want to try out different switches

They are low profile and feel hollow. Some of the keycaps showed unfinished rough edges but I was only able to confirm that by pulling them out and inspecting them closely. I will add that I tried using a Matt3o keycap set on this and it improved the overall typing experience. The stabilizers don't feel premium but also don't feel cheap
