Compatibility

Hi, I'm upgrading my PC for the Intel i7 12th gen. I was searching for a compatibile motherboard, and I've found the Gigabyte Z690 Aorus Pro, which seemed pretty good (I like the wifi and bluetooth support, the cooling stuff and the debug display) with the DDR4 memory support.

Nice board while it worked.

I would not normally give a negative review for a single bad product because things happen and sometimes you just get a dud, but when the replacement part has the same problem, that's when I have to take note. After working fine for a few days, the system powered down and would not power back up afterwords. The LED ROG logo on the io shield simply sat there and blinked at me when I turned on the PSU. This same issue happened with the replacement board, within again, a few days of it working fine

Overclocking

Great Motherboard!

Skill Trident Z5 RGB DDR5 series and the default frequency was 4800 without overclocking. I have so far managed to overclock the memory to 5800 without issue using Gigabyte easytune application. You can also use bios to overclock pretty easily. 6200 frequency was crashing, 6000 might be the sweet spot
