I primarily game on the Xbox X and although that system can’t push more than 60hz the response/imput lag of this monitor is very impressive. The Samsung Ch70 according to many is the best monitor possible for the Xbox and after using both the 650 performs slightly better. So if HDR is not important and you want a monitor with above average picture quality with excellent response/imput lag then this is for you.

How much you can get in a monitor.? This is a 4K monitor, 144 hertz over HDMI 2.1. Plus it's color-accurate enough for color-critical work, profession...

Also I'd like to point out that the C1 specifically has very poor out of box color accuracy compared to thr CX according to Rtings review. So thats another thing to think about when considering the C1. Other than that it's very comparable to the CX.

\-It has really bad viewing angles and the typical "VA cone" and gamma shift. This is visible in many peoples pictures of the monitor on their desk (dark circle in center). You have to sit far enough away to make it work.

The viewing angles are great, the colors after a little adjustment, using the colors settings recommended from a video by Hardware Unboxed and the colors look great. It can get very bright if needed. It has an Audio out port to be able to connect headphones or external speakers to the monitor for sound and that is very convenient since external speakers or headphones will sound better than if the monitor had internal speakers. I dont experience any ghosting at all while gaming

The viewing angle and appearance of the screen floating above the background indicates something specific about the panel that might be the cause for pixels dying. The 3D effect makes the dead pixel even more pronounced that 1 dead pixel in 8+m pixels (probably more since each pixel has subpixels) what you seen when a pixel is dead is the dead pixel and the 3d shadow on the backlight layer, so the dead pixel draws more attention to itself than it would on an IPS panel.

There are very few perks with this monitor: no USB for peripherals, no cool LED lights behind the screen, limited inputs, no split screen. I could talk about the color and brightness, but there is no point. The one huge glaring fault with this monitor makes calibrating or even trying to adjust the picture moot. The viewing angle at the edges is so large at the distance I sit, that the color gets washed out at the edges

But for strict PC productivity and gaming, there are probably better ultra wide options. On the other hand if you're limited to a strict budget and can get this in the 600 range it is hard to beat for a big screen experience if that is what you want. I definitely would not go any bigger though in 16:9 for a desk.

This is replacing a 24" monitor that I used for a couple of years and what a difference!! I was concerned that this might be too big but it turns out to be the perfect size! At 2560x1440 the text is still very clear and legible for my not so great eyes. Very easy to multi-task with split screen. Passed the few online monitor evaluations I tried with flying colors (no pun intended). Very pleased with this monitor and glad I made the jump to the larger size
