It’s an open faced sheath basically. Once the blade edge is in, it then the back edge “clicks” and locks in. Nothing to challenging but point being, it’s just not functioning. I’ve gotten around the fact that most knife sheathes are STILL made for right handers

Based upon what I've seen of other blades on this website chipping, bending, and sometimes breaking in half; if this is the worst that happens I'm happy. *The sheath is nice, but the belt attachment area could use a little work. You can still loop a belt through it, but it almost seems like they weren't really trying to make a belt loop, if that makes sense. Perhaps I'm just not doing something right

this is more of the reliable blade that can take a beating while still holding a decent blade at the end of the day. This I cant stress enough is not a blade you keep with you the whole time solely relying on it. I keep this and my strong arm with me when hiking. that's how I feel about this tool

With winter gloves on, the handle is a bit slippery. Definitely attach a paracord loop for safety when using it. Other than those few complaints, it works incredibly well- for the price range you won't beat it.

So far, it’s been a great piece and has survived the abuse my junior woodsman has given it.

Cleaned right up with one swipe on a quick sharpener. I'd like to see how this holds up with use over time, and may provide an update to my review later. I recommend it for size and light duty use only. If looking for something much stronger and heavier-duty, stick to Rowen or TOPS. For my purposes and observations of its general use, only three stars.

It has a hole, for a cord too. Sheath is a bit tight & that's the only bad thing: it has holes, for tiedowns too.

Larger size and a better handle, would make batoning through fat logs a lot easier. But I can split most logs 4" diameter or smaller with ease. I also use the thiner part of the machete for basic whittling.

The grip is outstanding! The sheath is VERY well made, and the blade holds an edge VERY well! But if you're looking for a chopper, this ain't it. The blade is only 1/4 inch thick and has almost no weight backing up a chopping motion. Other than that it's a great knife.
