Gerber auto is the worst knife I've ever bought.  It is pure garbage and gerber should shut its fucking doors.  Looks like a blind child made it, nothingnis straight, it came butter knife sharp, and the action literally doesnt work.

Worst nkd ever. I bought this to be a beater work knife and I already regret it, it takes another knife just to close it. 45 dollars worth of doodoo.

good quality knife as far as the material, but it scratches the blade when it opens, the lock mechanism works ok, i think it was just that knife i probably, it has a lifetime warranty so when i take it back i will probably get a better one, if you want a nice switch blade, i would reccomend this or the off grid rapid fire ranger.

Not Bad but OK

 They also have a line made in the US which is of higher quality but costs quite a bit more. I will be buying the American made version of this knife at around $150.00.  It's a decent knife if the price was a little lower

Not typical Gerber quality

 brick wall after biting my finger. This happend while trying to pierce a very thin piece of leather. It should have done this job with ease. The blade was extremely sharp but the locking mechanism failed immediately

 It failed under very minor pressure. When I first received the knife right away I was concerned about the durability and overall safety of the knife. Knowing it was probably a bad situation just waiting to strike I used it with extreme care. I had no idea it would fail at such a low tolerance of use

This knife is DANGEROUS

 Also it is heavy compared to my other Gerber assisted opening knives. But it cuts smooth.

Sweet little knife

In my head (having handled the mini covert), I was expecting a pretty solid handle even with the FAST tech, but when you open the knife you get this sort of hollow-spring sound that makes me wonder how solid the handle really is. Compared to the steel handled Kershaws or even the aluminum handled CRKTs, it just doesn't seem as ruggedly tough, but at the same time you get the textured grip so risk of slippage isn't as much of a problem as with the Kershaws and CRKTs. Part of the difference between the Gerbers is that the mini covert uses a fiberglass filled nylon that feels more dense than the G-10 handle of the 22-01966. I guess a good way of explaining the difference in "feel" is to say that I fear that if I dropped this knife that the handle material would crack
