Gateron Brown vs Gateron Red

Perhaps unsurprisingly, both Cherry MX and Gateron browns came out at the bottom of the ranking by this measure. On top of that, some experiments I did with swapping in more tactile stems confirm that the brown switches also have relatively weak tactile leaf springs.

I decided to go with the linear switches (Gateron Red) because I don't really have that accidentally-press problem, as I'm quite light-handed, and I don't really want to overcome that tactile feedback every time I press a key, especially given that I *do* game quite often. The quietest part also appeals to me. The good thing about mechanical keyboards is that if you get one with the hot-swap option, you can easily just replace switches if you don't like them.
