It’s an admittedly minor tweak, but it shows Fujifilm is listening to the photographers who are using its gear. The same goes for the diopter that now locks to prevent your electronic viewfinder from suddenly going blurry. That EVF has been extended out a bit to keep your nose from constantly smushing up against the rear display.

I just purchased a used X-T3 with 18-55mm f2.8-4 kit lens on eBay. It did not come with an OEM battery, but it has worked fine. No problems

Sony A6400 with sigma/tamron telephoto zoom lenses. Should get you into your budget nicely. Canon m50 should work as well. I’m not sure about the lens selection though

Only downside is for what you pay you are given rpetty cheap packaging. Like, come on Sony. This is a thousand dollar camera, you can't throw in some bells and whistles? The strap is absolute cheapy cheap quality and the camera wasn't even foam protected in it's box. My $100 Canon powershot was packaged better than this!

The weather sealed unit is also attractive as sometimes it may help to be able to record in less-than-ideal weather

Yes, I picked zooms rather than primes, as these are all quite fast lenses and general, and having the flexibility to go from one extreme of the zoom range to the other for different types of shots is very handy. Fujifilm X-T3 would by my non-Panasonic wildcard I'd throw into consideration as well (yes, there is the newer X-T4 you could consider, but for your purposes it sounds like you wouldn't use IBIS much if ever).

If you're a beginner I would recommend the Sony A6400 with the sigma 30mm+sigma 50mm +Sigma 16mm. Since as a beginner you'd want to know more about your equipment and would be in the learning stages. Now if you have the money and don't mind spending then the A7III is a no brainer. But to be honest if you're just starting out I suggest go for a A6400 with the sigma lens which would suit your needs

battery life is bad. Example, fully charged, 92 Images + 4 (120fps) Vids @ 3 sec each and battery is dead. This is with LCD turned OFF and using EVF only with eye sensor (the best for power saving)

The A7II's shutter count rating communicated by Sony was false and now a lot of A7IIs are dying prematurely, but just outside warranty. The only thing the A6400 has an edge over the X-S10 on is battery life. Fuji caught up to that camera in autofocus already and everything from stills to video to features is higher quality on the X-S10. The X-S10 has IBIS at $1000 for crying out loud
