 I've replaced these with a pair of klipsch speakers, which render extremely clear audio.

 Set-up was easy although I had to buy an additional usb cord to connect them to computer. They definitely are powerful, but the audio is muddled and nasally. Sound was especially weird on classical music. They were ok for tv shows and such, ok with pop music, but classical music just sounded really bad

 I've reached out to the seller, hopefully we can resolve the bluetooth issue since I really want to keep them, if we can't I will have to return them.

I got these speakers because and I wanted to reduce the amount of wires on my desk. Unfortunately the bluetooth has been awful so far. Big delays when watching youtube videos and stutters when trying to watch streams on Twitch up to sometimes just completely unable to recognize a stream is playing. I've updated all my drivers and tried the speakers with my laptop and iphone, sadly the results are the same

I have the Fluance Ai41 powered speakers in my kitchen and they sound pretty nice. I think they are around $250.

Obviously, now I know that’s wrong. Now, I need to know what other pieces I need to buy to get it to work. I know I need speakers (but what CHEAP kind to buy??) and possibly and amp? (Still no idea if I need one or not) can someone please help me figure out what I need to buy and the cheapest thing that will work for it? I definitely didn’t expect to be spending more than the amount of the record player, so the cheaper the better. I can always replace the items as time goes on.

Completely confused- Fluance RT81

I don’t think I could get an amp and speakers for the same price as the ai41 that would sound as good. Maybe the nht super one, but again, black on white ain’t going to float, and they’re a bit boomy. I’m not going sub because this is bedroom, and tv is above dresser filling wall space between two closets, with no space. So, at least 5” drivers with adequate bass

These are terrific for this price point. I have not tried the ones with the larger driver to see if they give a better quality sound. I found that putting them on speaker stands makes a big difference (I know for some of you this is terribly obvious) The people at Fluance also seemed very nice when I've had questions. So far, happy with this product

 We connected these u6s to a project rpm one carbon turntable in red that match the gloss right at the cantos, and these not only look sleek, but they also sounded fantastic. While listening to vinyl, but when we didn't have the vinyl album, we were looking for and we just wanted to play something on the fly we easily connected it to our phone via bluetooth and pulled up our favorite playlist. This is a really nice touch to be able to use your turntable and listen to it. But if you don't have the album on vinyl, you can just connect your phone and use bluetooth now

 The u6 is ported in the back for improved base response. A 100 watt class d amplifier is built into the left speaker, which is enough power to fill a decently sized living room with some rocking tunes. The u6 has dual toss: link: optical inputs, rca inputs with a phono switch, a subwoofer out 3.5 aux input, a usb type, a charging port gold-plated, binding post terminals to connect the left and right speakers and best of all bluetooth, 4

 The song happier than ever is a fun tune by billy eilish. That really puts these speakers to work. You could hear the subtle breathiness of billy's voice between the words, along with the background vocals and instruments perfectly separated during the first half of the entire song during the second half billy, takes it up a notch and the whole band kicks in with some solid bass And instrumentation, as i turn them up the low end, really shined here and each hit of the bass, you could really feel in your chest. These filled the entire office

0 aptx is an audio codec that can sport up to 24-bit audio transmission that reduces signal and noise transmission, giving you a lot less distortion having this feature makes them easy to connect and stream your favorite song without having to worry about quality loss via your transmission. However, the lack of bluetooth 5.0 does limit these speakers for future, and if we could upgrade one thing about them, we would probably pick that an aux input is also available and it's great for plugging in a phone or a tablet for a quick streaming playback option. If you don't want to connect to the bluetooth now on a desk they're perfect for filling up the office with sound and with a few additional accessories, you can really upgrade the sound coming from your powered speakers, whether it's background music or typing

Very mediocre speakers for the price. They look great, but you can do a lot better for what you pay for these things. Also, the annoying feature where they "save power" by turning off all the time is painful. Unless you're planning to play sound for hours straight, you'll spend time throughout your day fiddling with getting the speakers to turn back on

 If I were them, I'd lose this feature. You'd be better off getting a good set of Yamaha NS5's for the price. They'll sound better and always be on.

They look better than they sound

 The biggest advantage of the larger drivers is bass extension, but a subwoofer negates that advantage. YU6 and YU4 share the same tweeter and have similar SPL so ou'd be happy with either. If you got our speaker with an RSL Speedwoofer 10S you'd have a great system for less than $900.

People recommend powered monitors frequently on here, but I am in the camp that they only make sense paired with an audio interface. Without an interface you cannot control volume easily, and you can't take advantage of the balanced inputs and the result is a high noise floor or hissing.

I would like to have all the possible connections of the yu6s (preamp for turntable, Bluetooth, etc) but if there is another speaker under $500 which is a substantial upgrade in sound, I would be willing to get that. I am looking for a fun speaker while also being relatively accurate. I would also like to know what sub I should get to pair with it. I was thinking maybe a BIC f12, a svs sb1000, or an svs sb12. I would like to stay around $300-400 for the sub but again if there’s a substantial upgrade that could be made if I spent 500 instead, I would be willing. I would only be using the speaker and sub for music.

Kanto Yu6 vs SVS prime vs JBL 305p Mkii or another speaker under $500

 The YU 6 could be a really great speaker if they could knock out some of that cabinet resonance and push the mids a bit farther forward in the soundstage, but I rate these a solid 4/5.  Thought I'd add to this a bit. I stepped back from a long listening session yesterday and thought about the things I heard on each speaker. I ended up putting the M24's back on my desktop

 The bass can be a little more “boomy” than the Peachtrees I’m assuming because of the cabinet size difference. The Klipsch was definitely the most “boomy” and had even more resonance in the mid-bass, so I dismissed the Klipsch from the session. So, between the M24’s and the YU6, here are my conclusions. Keep in mind I’m about 4-5 feet from the speakers

 7. I like the larger sound and soundstage from the YU6 compared to the M24.  I’m going to keep the YU6 on the desktop for now and let them break in well. I have the Peachtree M25’s coming so that will be a more fair comparison but I’m really curious if the M25’s can match the soundstage

 5. The sub out works great on both – I have two 12” Bic F-12’s and they work great with both speakers although I’d say the F12’s are definitely a better HT subwoofer than a musical one. 6. Build quality on both are outstanding

Good speakers with some caveats - see details below

 They sound too rough. Distortion is a small issue, but not too bad.  I think most people would be very happy with the speakers, but they're just not right for me and I can't justify spending this much money on a set of speakers that I'm not happy with  I actually only have one complaint and that's the remote. I have to point the remote directly at the sensor almost every time and that's quite annoying because I'm not directly in front of the speakers all the time

 The bass, while overall not good, is pretty good for their size. If you want proper base though, just like with any other set of bookshelf speakers, you'll want a subwoofer.  My one complaint is in the high notes. They don't sound bad per se, but they're just not right

 While an integrated phono preamp isn't ideal it is very convenient.  My plan was to use these with a Chromecast audio over Optical and they certainly can do that.  The most important part, however, is the sound quality. The mids are beautiful and clear

 They're solid and have a perfect paint job and they look fantastic on almost all types of furniture. The available connectivity is also quite good. While an integrated phono preamp isn't ideal it is very convenient.  My plan was to use these with a Chromecast audio over Optical and they certainly can do that

I listen to them more every single day than even the JBLs that we have out in our main listening room

 When I say they are powered monitors, what does that mean? Well, most loudspeakers are passive, meaning they require you to connect them to an amplifier or a receiver which supplies them power in order to make the drivers dance and do all of the things that make them sound good. A powered loudspeaker has those amplifiers inside, meaning they do not need a receiver, they do not need an amplifier, it is all built in. But the Kanto YU6 loudspeakers actually have not only the power amps built in, but preamps and the ability to connect directly to sources or stream via wireless or Bluetooth should that be your jam. And that is what makes these so compelling, because for $399 you can essentially buy a pair of the Kanto YU6s and forego the need for a receiver, an amplifier, a preamp, and in some instances, depending on your musical taste, you could probably forego even a source, because we all have smartphones in our pocket and a smartphone via Bluetooth connection to these bad boys and you are off to the races
