I also don't like the fad of using mesh on the straps. It doesn't provide any benefit. The mesh used is abrasive against the skin and also feels hot against the skin.

 I Have a GoPro in there and some other equipment and you have a main top, the zippered compartment, and above the zippers, you have the Burgh shell fabric protecting those zippers and making those if is a lot more water resistant. So on the back you have of course a grab handle, two shoulder straps with latch points - Arctic Fox logos on them, sternum strap you got a nice mesh back panel on the on the shoulder straps and and here and that's pretty much it. So I'm going to talk about something inside that I really really like. So I unzip the top pocket and if you see here inside is white, really white and bright which is the point so it's easy to find things in air, especially if you have different colored things in your backpack

 [Music] All right here we are in the great outdoors with the Archaeon 30 backpack in Haybale Green Now Unfortunately, this video was shot during uh, Lockdown Lockdown number three, in fact. So, whilst I would have loved to shoot this video up in somewhere like the Lake District or the Peak District, you've unfortunately got the gently rolling fields of Buckinghamshire. Um, I've been walking with it for quite a few kilometers now. Incredibly comfy fit

 I think if I was being really picky the the padded parts would come around a teeny bit more for me. Uh, just so you get a little bit some more support on the sides, but the straps fine. The chest strap is fine. obviously

OSPREY ARCHEON 30 REVIEW

Finally, a backpack truly designed for a woman's body! I used to backpack a lot more than I do now, but that has to do with my temporary living condition (Midwest for a few more years then back to the greater Seattle area). I packed this Osprey Archeon for a long day hike and hit the trail. Typically, after a few hours my back starts complaining and more and more rest stops are required. With this Osprey I was able to hike longer and take fewer rests because my back never hurt

Well Designed for a Woman's Back

 It was easy to adjust and comfortable to carry as I walked at least 5 km over city streets on a hot day.

I got this bag the morning that I was due to leave for Europe. I quickly repacked my stuff and took my new pack as carryon luggage. Between a small suitcase and this pack, I could move around and do everything I wanted. For a weekend trip out of town, I took this bag and nothing else

A highly recommended pack that should last you many years

 The 30L version of the Archeon range is perfect for autumn and winter an to be honest with the way UK summers are going summer and spring too. Osprey Archeon 30 – tuck in the lid and hook to grab loop for when you don’t need too much kit. Heading up The Schill, Northumberland NP UK I would be fine for a lightweight summer divvy or hut stop as it’s big enough for stove, lightweight sleeping and bivvy bag and a bit of food, there are some cord loops for lashing shock cord to so you could load it up if you wanted to hike in with some bivvy stuff, leave that at camp on go onto bag an alpine summit.  The lid is a single buckle close with a metal hook, it has a nice external pocket that is plenty big enough to stow a hat, gloves, some food bars and a laminated OS map, with room for a few extras if needed

 Used one for my compass and the other for a couple of food bars. Perfect! Needless to say the shoulder straps are comfortable and have an adjustable chest strap and shoulder tension straps. The ice axe holders work great and the two way zip means it’s easy to access that extra layer at the bottom of the pack.  For those (frequent!) rainy hikes there is an included, detachable, rain cover

 We are a bunch of keen climbers and travellers that accept sample products and offer an honest and independent review of the item. The reviewer will often keep the sample after reviewing it for both hygiene and safety reasons and more often it’s in no fit state to return!

82kg weight might put you off. I’ve been happy with it though as I’m no longer a lightweight freak and prefer to spend more precious time journeying mindfully through the landscape and the Archeon 30 fits that ethic nicely. You could reduce the weight by removing the rain cover but not by much as it’s pretty light, you can also choose the lighter Archeon 25 if weight is a real issue. The Archeon 30 is an all mountain style of pack so it’s perfect for long days out in any conditions and any time of year from winter to autumn

 That said, 30 litres is a really good size, enough to get what you need in it and space for more should you want it on the side. We have got some compression and adjustment spaces so you could if you really wanted to attach other bits to it in the valve loops which I'm really long. You've got little pockets, not big, but just enough to get stuff in like a penknife or a little torch, something knitted just in the those bits there instead of having grain, big zip pockets that are really often useless, you've got the other things there just to put you know, your lighter in your cigarette, your matches, your sweets, something nickel. it doesn't pass and but it is elastic does feel good

 Interested to see how waterproof this bag is considering this point. 9 holding you together I'm in the booklet they tell you about the Archaean They say make sure you get the right size. They say dependable, versatile, recycled fabrics, beautifully made, etc. They don't really tell you a great deal about it I Assume they want you to have done their homework your home first
