Fjallraven Totepack No. 1 and Small totepack vs Maxpedition Monsoon

- Fits a 13" laptop (but it's tight with the water bottle too, I only carry a laptop on occasion)

Internally I use a small number of zipper pouches. The Sitka would have supplied some of that with it's more numerous compartments. + The closest-to-your-back zippered slot is intended for a water bladder, which is great if you need it, however that is a PERFECT place for a 13" laptop ! ! ! + Water bottle pocket on one side, Collapsible umbrella pocket on the other. I've been watching Buy One Get One sales on the Maxpedition site for months, while that is theoretically a great deal they never have anything in stock so I'm glad Amazon was stocking this

It's also perfect for a carry on personal item on an airplane as it holds a great deal and easily stashes under the seat. I have it in acorn and am considering getting it in another color as well. Would definitely recommend this tote!

I’m 5 foot 6 inches with wide shoulders and this looks ridiculous as a backpack because it barely goes to mid back. My fault for getting the small! I figured the backpack would be small but the straps a little longer. Adjustable straps would be good!

I eventually returned it for a few reasons, none of which I can really blame Maxpedition for (I have a few of their products and am really happy with them) but more for personal preference. The first is that the bag is a bit large on my frame (5'7'', wide) and hung rather low on me. The biggest concern I had with it is the dual compression straps you have to undo every time you want to access the main compartment. I really wanted something I could get into and out of quickly, and this just wasn't it
