 Let's move this tone knob a little bit up and see what we can get. I'm gonna play a little bit I'm gonna dig in a little bit more I get a little more of like a rock sound here so I'm still still have the P at 100% and I'm about 50% here with the tone knob and you'll hear a little bit more of the grit that the bass can can kind of pull out. Right so that's sort of you know a grittier bit of a groove all right I can slap that and you'll kind of hear a little bit still it's kind of has a nice chunk to the sound alright and then let's go with the tone all the way up okay. So like I said I think the P is probably the closest to the original Fender tone that they got with this bass

 Lake Classic blue, charcoal, some of the really nice they have that three color sunburst also the classic Fender look. So we'll play a little bit here this you'll get a little bit more of like that old Motown kind of sound with this sort of an it's sort of an underwater kind of sound with the tone rolled all the way off and the P pickup all the way up. I really like the P pickup on this bass I think it's probably the shining shining part about this bass the best part so here we go. Alright pretty cool right? Bonus points if you know what bassline that is I'll let you know later in the video

Fender Squier Affinity Precision Bass Demo and Review

 Hey everybody, welcome back to my channel Dillon de Villase music where we're

 talking all things bass and all things music all the time. Thanks for being

 here. Today we are checking out the very cool Fender Squier Affinity Precision

 Bass. Alright this is a super cool bass. This is kind of a cool newer take on

 Fender's Squier series. I don't know you probably know but Fender makes a sort of

 lower spec series of instruments that go by the name Squier and they're sort of

 known as just a really good sounding option at a very low price point and

 with a comparable style to the Fender originals. Alright Precision the Jazz

 and now they have this one called the Affinity and this is a PJ so this as you

 can see has a P pickup here and a J pickup back on the bridge. Okay the knobs

 get these silver knobs. We have the P volume, J volume and tone knob. Okay right

 now I'm going to start with the P volume all the way up, the tone all the way off,

 J volume all the way off. This is the Olympic white finish on this bass and I

 have the laurel fingerboard. I think it also comes with a maple fingerboard if

 you want it with the maple and they have a couple other color variations. Lake

 you're probably looking minimum neighborhood $800 $900 and this bass

 retails about $270 so and I actually got this used for $150 and I just I'm

 thrilled with the purchase I think it sounds insane for what I paid for it so

 I'm pretty stoked on it. Alright so let's check out the the the J pickup a little

 bit so I'm gonna put the J pickup all the way up and I'm gonna do it in the

 same fashion I'm gonna roll the tone all the way off and this sound I think is a

 little bit docile but it kind of has a nice a nice sort of blend to it right

 sometimes I think chords can actually have kind of a cool blend on this tone

 they sound almost like one one simultaneously like they're

 simultaneously played as opposed to feeling like sort of a disjointed series

 of notes so then I'm gonna roll the tone up a little bit as I go and you'll hear

 what I'm saying right where it's almost there's almost less blend there that's

 kind of what I was looking for each note sticks out a little bit more with the

 tone a little more of that measly tone right I'll go back to that groove right

 it's a little more of that kind of Joe Dart right that sort of bulk pack

 feeling right that we need out and do right little straighter jazz sound um so
