I'm extremely hard on my tools. I was a little hesitant in purchasing this knife at first because for the price, I wasn't sure if it could stand up to the abuse I was going to put it through. I don't believe I've come close to damaging it and I've put it through quite a bit. Much of the black powder coating has been scraped from the blade so far, but there has yet to be any spots of rust on the exposed 1095

If you do wrap the handle, the instructions give you a good start but at the end of the wrap you may be scratching your head on how to finish it. I loosened up the left side final loop and passed the right tag end trough it and loosened up the right side final loop and passed the left tag end through it and snuged it down real good. So I couldn't keep it, I had to return it. I feel like trying to remove it from the sheath would possibly result in me cutting myself it's so tight. I'd probably consider an ESEE product in the future if they made a better sheath, or if it wasn't for daily carry.

These are made in the USA. The sheath is a polymer sheath. The knife fits in there very nicely. You have several eyelets here on the sheath

I love these knives. ESEE makes knives that are tough, functional, and look good, all without breaking the bank. I have used a lot of knives. I have many more expensive and many less

The knife is sharp however it is not razor sharp and the angle of the cutting edge is different on both sides. It could be fixed with some serious sharpening but i am very disappointed with Kabar for doing such a horrible job with the blade. Other than the blade, you can't go wrong for the price and it gets any small job done such as cutting rope, whittling, carving, cutting food ETC.

Was planning on replacing sheath with a kydex sheath but this plastic one is very tight without a rattle. Perfect neck knife and can really tell difference in 1095 steel compared to cheap china 440cn.

But who cares about all this gibberish talk. Let's get down to the pros and cons of this knife. Pros: -sturdy, and one peice, could probably take a few .22 rounds and still hold up
