This one is well made and seems like it will last a long time. It does provide a lot of relief and is comfy all day. However, I think it is expensive and am not sure it is truly justified when there are so many other mats out there at a much cheaper cost. If I was going to recommend one, I’d say to look for a mat that has a similar front edge and costs less

I still prefer to buy them used since the value of many chairs drops very quickly and you can find 7/8yo chairs at 200$ instead of 1000$ new.

I work in an office on thinly carpeted concrete essentially at a desk stationary for 40 hours a week. I have a sit stand desk but legs would hurt from standing long. I had a thin mat to stand on but still had issues so investigated. I have tried several different mats and purchased this one because of its unique design and because of the reviews I read

because you are supposed to sit up straight and this does encourage that. Once again Humanscale fails to produce a chair that is useful, but to quote the designer: "I wanted to develop a task chair that would be as minimal visually as it is functional" - yes..
