 I heard a little click in there, so i think it realizes it reached 450 and it might be trying to avoid overheating, so it reached 455. I heard the click it's you know been running for five minutes now on the clock here. So you know this is pretty interesting. I guess it takes the preheat plus another five minutes

 So i'm putting medium and if you hit time temp again it doesn't really do anything. You don't get to select the number of slices, but the cooker is totally cool now and if i just hit start, we see that it's going to do uh, basically a three minute thing, but it counts down. It was like 300 seconds actually because it's counting down from 300 down in seconds, so it's not really like minutes, it's like 300 seconds, which is interesting, but we'll stop that and just keep that in mind for later. Okay

 Okay. Now it's time to do an initial plug-in of the cooker, so just going to take and plug it all in and once we plug in, we get a nice little beep get our display that lights up, and so with this. I just want to talk about a few things as we see it starts up with fahrenheit, but if you press and hold the light button for a few seconds it switches over to celsius, so i'm just going to switch it on back to fahrenheit. Again, i don't really know what means to stop the beeping

 My initial impressions are Instant Pot is of slightly higher quality even if they look made at the same manufacturing plant. The finish seems better, the parts seem more solid, and the interactive interface seems more robust. I preferred the astetics of the Ninjas interface, but that's not nearly as important as cooking. Broiling reached 400-450 F between the inner pot and the hottest point on the element itself

 All you have to do is increase your target temp by 10 degrees. Your Instant Pot may differ, but for a Chinese-built multicooker, that isn't bad. Temperature seemed to increase 1-2 degrees per 10 minutes without food in there, but maybe that offsets the cooling from food placed inside.  I returned my Ninja Foodi 6

  Someone else wrote about sous vide not reaching temperature. He must have not read the directions; you need it fill water to the "1/2" mark. It then reaches temp (195 F reached 185F, and 144 reached 135F). Sure, this could be better, but for an all-in-one device, it should accomplish its task as promised

It does fit under the cabinets with the lid on, but it gets to be a pain if you need to open it to turn the food

Also, the pot is again on the smaller side for sous vide, but it would have been just great for say a couple of steaks. I used the sous vide setting to make yogurt - that came out really nicely, and you can line the air fryer contraption with cheesecloth to strain the yogurt afterward, which was pretty convenient

Pretty decent, but not excellent

I am currently on the Autoimmune Protocol which means I have to cook everything that I eat. I can’t eat out or eat any processed food; if I do it makes me ill :( It’s great for health, but it’s really difficult to do when you’re struggling with your health and are always fatigued and not feeling well. This InstantPot has made my life so much easier. I’m able to cook large meals so much quicker which is great for meal prepping

..or so I thought. Using nothing but Dawn dish soap and sponge, could not get the fry basket clean

 Soaked overnight and tried again. Painted coating on fry basket came right off. Picture attached. Would expect this if using steel wool or similar but this was from just a sponge

 The pressure cooker works fine. It was better once I learned that the quick release lock cannot be engaged while the lid is on the cooker. The saute function works fine, as long as you stir the food to keep it from sticking on the hot spots. The air fryer basket is very poorly designed: if you use both levels, you cannot turn food over on the bottom tier without removing the top rack, and the top rack is designed to spill its contents all over the counter when it is removed

 It took over 30 minutes to 'air-fry' 12 chicken wings starting with fully-thawed, refrigerated meat. The sous vide never got above 140F, when it was set to 200F. Same with the slow cooker; it gets just warm enough to breed salmonella cultures. I have not and will not try out the roast, bake, or broil functions because I expect that would only result in me having to salvage or discard ingredients

The user manual guidelines are completely useless for these functions. The user manual was obviously written for someone who cannot remember for five minutes that CAUTION: Pressure Cookers Get Hot! and has to be told every time that the appliance won't work if it's not plugged in

Don't waste your money.

 Put my Anova in to cook the meal.  Update: Sous Vide poor temp control is on me. I have an Anova and thought this would work without the lid. Nope

 They told me I had to put the cake ingredients in an over safe pan and use the rack provided in the instant pot yet I didn’t have any thing to use that was cake size or round to use. This is not advertised and no video examples online but a lot of people have had the same cake experiences. This is the only reason for the four stars. Overall I am super pleased and recommended
