Edifier S1000MKII vs SVS PB-1000 Pro

I've been really impressed with the Edifier s1000 mkii, extremely practical and well rounded speakers for the price, the fidelity and detail leaves very little to be desired. I have also not heard a bad word about the 1850s and 1700s which apparently are better suited for near field listening and probably more suited to your budget.

** You want consumer-oriented powered speakers, that have connections and controls that are suited for use with consumer equipment. If you can go up to the $300ish range, I would suggest looking at the nicer Edifier models—maybe the S1000mkII if you can find it locally, or maybe something in the R1850 or R2000 series. You'd need 2-2.5x your budget for a speaker with really good bass and that's with the Edifier S1000MKII or S1000DB model. With max 200$, I speculate that any smaller speakers like your Megaboom 3 will disappoint bass-wise. Bigger hardware and within-budget Monster SuperStar could be good
