I wanted a lightweight packable jacket to wear in the rain, and this fit the bill perfectly, as well as the budget!

Lightweight rain protection

 This fit very comfortably, arms stretched out and all. I often have trouble with sleeves riding up when I do that, very.minimal here. Also things often pull across my shoulder blades, not in this case

 I'm 5'6 ish and around 158 pounds. I ordered a medium which to me felt too snug with a thicker layer such as a sweatshirt. It would have been okay with a thin spring shirt. I hope this helps with sizing

I survived Hurricane Harvey in this raincoat!! NEVER once did I get soaked in this raincoat!! I have used a Columbia and a Tommy Hilfiger raincoat and I was soaking wet as they did not hold up at all. I will be buying two more for my children! My husband also has one and he stayed dry in his as well. I will never buy another brand again for raincoats! I like that it is lightweight also!!

This is an upgrade to last year's Cloud Cap -- meaning it's not as "crunchy." What I really like about this rain jacket is the functionality. Not only does it keep me dry, it has side vents, adjustable cuffs, the hood is adjustable and stays on, and I can fold it into one pocket and toss it in my pack! The purple is way better in person -- Just a side note: the zipper is not light purple like pictured online, it is the same color as the jacket. I debated between the small and x small because I am between sizes, but decided to go with the small so I can layer underneath if needed

I would start with their calcite rain jacket...it is a very good in the rain and personally anything more expensive is overkill unless you are into alpine climbing

Rather than Gore-Tex, both jackets utilize 3-layer H2No (Patagonia’s proprietary waterproofing fabric) constructions, which give them the upper hand in value. The Storm10 is the lightest and most packable of the bunch at a scant 7

5-layer constructions, but adds breathability with a unique venting system: Rather than standard pit zips, OR extended the vents from the bicep all the way down to the hem, which creates a poncho-like style when fully unzipped. In practice, we found this TorsoFlo design offered significantly better airflow than traditional pit zips, which makes the Aspire a solid multi-sport jacket for activities from backpacking to backcountry skiing (although its hood isn't helmet-compatible). I've put it through its rounds and I have to say it's pretty nice. Let me go ahead and write Here show it to y'all I bought it in this nice reddish color and and it's a size large and Truthfully, I can say it's been really really dependable Even like today when it was drizzling I didn't feel any concerns like it was gonna seep through the fabric or make my clothing underneath wet and Even all the details you can tell they put like a layer of plastic around the zipper to make sure it stays watertight And it's made of this really nice material this Gore-Tex and And Honestly, they've paid a lot of attention to details because they have things like this Velcro around the arms and Drawstring that is located inside the jacket that kind of goes into the left-hand pocket and One thing I do have to mention it doesn't have any inside pockets So if you want to store stuff like that, you won't find any here, but it does have a pocket up here and I don't really make much use of it myself, but there should need be Then another extra feature is zippers underneath the armpits Yes, it has pit zips. So if you open it up Should be able to add some ventilation for people who are doing things like activities like hiking and so on or and stuff like that, so and Finally, there's another drawstring around the hood
