I also carried it around extensively and it did not cause any discomfort. It is important to pack the backpack evenly and to place the heavier items on the right side (side that closest to the back). I would recommend this backpack for trips lasting less than 5 days because I don't think the backpack would be comfortable if packed to capacity.

My goal was to find a robust carry-on that was easy to carry, maneuver through an airport or on a plane and was true to size. Looking at a lot of wheeled carry-ons, including the one I’ve used for a number of trips, even though the dimensions met the maximum allowed carry-on size, space was lost due to the framework of the wheels and handle. Additionally, since I also usually have a checked bag, I have to deal with two rolling bags, or have my carry-on slung over my shoulder and try to balance that and deal with my suitcase. I reviewed a lot of bags and was leaning towards some of the more expensive ones thinking that the material and design were better, but fortunately, the eBags TLS weekender kept popping up

But one. I discovered after the honeymoon period wore off, was how gosh-danged-heavy that monster was. To be fair, age 66 had alittle to do with it. I needed a change and split with my former love

The Shoulder straps themselves have some decent padding throughout, and are decently thick, and dense with foam.. There are some plastic loops here to...

- For a hike that is a few miles, I found myself constantly readjusting the straps. I REALLY wish the pack had top straps to bring the top weight of the bag in more. But this could possibly be resolved with what's chosen to be packed in the brain of the bag. I had all of my cooking gear in there

Of course, I did have people in line behind me occasionally bumping it because it sticks out but after a warning look to a Frenchman after 2 unnecessary bumps into my backpack when I'd been up since 3am and was ready to scream, he got the message and gave me more space, ha ha! My only complaint is the little tab things on the zippers seem to fall off easily. 2 have fallen off. Doesn't affect you being able to zip it, or the actual zipper itself, but it's annoying because I wasn't yanking anything to make them fall off. Still, I love this backpack and highly recommend it

If Cotopaxi had sewn the tab a quarter of an inch further down from the end of the zipper this would work as well as the other two. Cotopaxi did you not try this before shipping? Not having the anti-theft feature available on the large compartment is pretty dumb..

I love the front pocket because I keep things I want quick access to before I board the plane.

--I love the built-in zipped organizers, and really appreciated the front pocket, which is designed to have room even when the rest of the bag is stuffed to the gills.
