 It is just not the most sturdy bag ever. It says that it is for a laptop and while it will hold it I would for sure not carry it with only one strap over one shoulder as I am not certain it is sturdy enough to do this without ripping. Honestly, I have a 15' laptop so I won't use it for my laptop again as I don't trust the strength but if you have a very small laptop it may work. The quality of construction on this one is a tad bit lacking to categorize it as a laptop backpack, but if you are just headed out for a hike, or the zoo or an excursion and just need a couple things, it will be perfect

 Here, that's actually a separate compartment and you may have been able to see inside you kind of got this bunched up fabric at the bottom. This you can show you that, and part of that is because how this bottom work. So it's it's separating the this bottom here and you know this is a decent spot. If you carry an extra pair of shoes with you, maybe it's wintertime

 There'S a little bit of dimension built in but probably better for flatter items, maybe a small notebook and then inside. If you can see, there's another little divider. So let's say you have maybe some tech stuff or your pens in the divider and then your notebook or other things in the front also could be a good spot to toss. You know wallet and keys, so there is that we always like a quick access pocket on one side

 Now sometimes you can fit large laptops in there, but with something like this without a false bottom. We probably would rather just keep a smaller laptop and try to put a case on it for a little bit of extra protection, also on the inside on this front. Flap opposite the laptop sleeve.  Checkpoint friendly. I got a black one from REI where I could make sure about the configuration and make sure it's comfortable. Noticeably cheaper especially for members. Waist straps and in fact all straps can be stowed if they're in the way

 These straps and this tuck in here after unclipping there and become like briefcase style so that just expanded the main bag and gave it more room. The main compartment is quite big. two slots and then the bottom. This is a little nuts zips out so this main one can just expand crazy

Hands on review of North Face Overhaul 40 Backpack

 It has a chest strap up here as well which is really nice to have. It has this flex this flex mint here which is really cool because it lets air go up up your back when you're walking. It's really nice. I does have water resistant material

 It's designed for people who live out of their backpack like I do. So you see here. The first thing is right here. There's this little kind of discreet little zipper area on the front right so you open that up that actually has a felt part on the inside

 The rest as you can see is just a big old pouch and this holds your laptop that I put my laptop, my cables I put all kinds of stuff in here so it's pretty pretty awesome pouch to have now. On top of that, as you can see, we have your perfect little cup holder things for your water bottle. it'll hold all kinds of I mean hold your basic size water bottle you know I have my I have my My Life straw filter that I did another video on before that fits perfectly in here and then after that I want to show you this cool feature here I Love this! this is I think this is might be my favorite feature this bag I haven't seen that another one I'm sure there there are other bags with them but a lot of people love Osprey which is perfectly fine. It's just my preference, but on the bottom of the bag here you'll see that there is another zipper and this is one of the coolest features

 But if you're kind of a newbie, then you need to know that whenever you fly on an airline, you can only bring up to 45 litres worth of space in one Of your bags. So this baby right here. this holds 40 litres. Now that is the perfect size for carry-on Now your average backpack like the one that I used to travel with, it holds 25 litres

The North Face Overhaul 40 Review

 You can tell that it's got plenty of space, although you can't compress it on the side. It does seem to have a lot of different compartments for you to carry your stuff. In addition, if you travel a lot, you know that sometimes having the straps on the backpack is annoying. So it's nice because you can actually stow them away right here and on the bottom right over here, so that it becomes more free-kicks

 I don't know what you call it, but you know you got the space right here so that you can just throw it on top of your luggage and it's secure and there's an additional pocket right here. Zippered pocket for easy access to something that you want to keep a little more hidden from the outside. The front has another pocket up here again easy to use. It has a fleece interior along with that small back pocket so that it's safe for your phone sunglasses
