Sound Quality

The 5 Best AirPods Alternatives - Spring 2022

Unfortunately, they lack a companion app and don't have sound customization features. They also have high latency, so you may notice some audio syncing issues if you use them to watch a movie or take a video call. Otherwise, if you like the design of AirPods and prioritize neutral sound, they're a good option.

Noise Cancellation

Great performing wireless headphones for small ears

It also works well with one earbud or with both. I also like that the charging case has a wireless charging feature. There are much more features that I can easily access and apply, then with the previous Beats by Dre pro-wireless headphones that I have been using. Noise cancellation: I travel a bit for work, and was able to test them out in airports and on airplanes

Solid music and call performance, decent background sound cancellation on calls

The Jabra doesn’t have that limitation. In terms of noise cancelling, the old and new headsets are not hugely different. Background noise still comes through, but in different ways. The Taotronics kind of blurs the background noise, but slightly blurs the speech at the same time

Bluetooth Connectivity

Good sound quality, but terrible for calls. Do not fit well in small ear canals.

I haven't received those yet so I can't compare. 10/25/2022 update: I want to give an update because after this review, Earfun reached out to me directly to try and make things right. They went out of their way to try and help me find a pair that would work better for me. I was able to exchange these for an Earfun Air S, which I will say was a definite improvement on this set of earbuds, particularly for video calls and playback voice delay

Are they worth it for power users?

I didn't pay what paid for these for this much of an inconvenience in my work flow. I've had more than a few poor Bluetooth connective ear buds but these take the cake. So after my little rant, what could you take away from this? Honestly if you want an excelent sounding truly wireless earbud, these are the ones yoh have been looking for. It's not fair to compare these to full headphones but they can sure hold their own

Fit

I have owned Edifier TWS5, TSW1, Samsung Galaxy Buds 2, Plus, Pro, Earfun Air Pro, Sony WF-1000XM4, Sennheiser CX, TW Momentum 2, Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro, Jabra Elite 3, and Jabra Elite 7 Pro. Liberty 3 Pro:. Fit 8/10: Was a little confused at first but after getting the right size tips and earwings and simply doing what the instructions say (insert at the correct angle and twist), they stay in good and are comfortable. Jabra Elite 3 and 7 Pro win here for ease and comfortability overall but these are fine

If the fit and passive NC suits you, great, you'll have fun enjoying good music doing your sports. But I was hoping for something more versatile.

Comfort

Ear Fun is the real deal ... don't pay more

sound quality is awesome and I don't see how it could possibly be anymore comfortable. I use them during 20+ miles of walking every week outdoors and I live in the southwest (so think hot and sweaty). I've interacted a couple times with customer service over the last couple years and each time they're spot-on helpful and take care of me

Great earbuds but they won't reliably stay in my ear

They have some noise isolation but they are definitely not noise canceling headphones. The noise isolation is largely dependent on how tightly they are in the ear canal which also has a negative impact on comfort. Noise isolation is pretty good if they are deep in the ear but that makes them quite uncomfortable. I’m not sure but the HearThrough option in the app seems to amplify/distort outside noise rather than remove it like active noise isolation does

Durability

These are (were) amazing, so far.. **Updated**

But I've run into some issues that I'm afraid are deal breakers for me. First, I cannot get these things to stay put in my ears to save my life. If I'm doing literally anything besides sitting completely still, it isn't long before these earbuds start coming loose and I'm having to adjust them CONSTANTLY. I tried using them while raking my yard and it was a pain to say the least

Price Point

Wow! Super impressed!

There were some great YouTube videos and a few articles raving about their quality, especially for being under $100. I went to Amazon and sure enough, these had great reviews. I had been reading Bose, Sony, Apple and Jabra reviews and they were all mixed reviews and to pay close to $200 with mixed reviews didn't sit right with me. The Amazon EarFun reviews really sold me, and I thought, for $80, it's worth a shot

More than happy with the purchase - updated

I ride rapid transit as a part of my daily commute and have been wearing disposable ear plugs due to the loud screeching wheel noises caused by a poorly maintained train system. I wanted to buy a headset with noise cancellation, but as I researched headsets I found that noise isolation may work as well at a much lower cost. That lead me to the Jarba Elite Active since they were ranked in almost all of the Best of reviews. I read the consumer reviews on Amazon and it was about 50/50 between broke immediately and greatest ever so I decided to give it a shot

Battery Life

Great functionality for a reasonable price

The range is better than the more expensive Jabra wireless headset that I use for work. The battery life is exceptional. I used them for a few hours a day for weeks before needing to charge the storage pod. They were easy to connect to my phone

Great true wireless earbuds

- The battery life so far has been excellent. I have not charged them once since the first charge, and the case is still charging the earbuds well. - The bluetooth connection has been solid. I have not had any drops once connected and during workouts

Warranty

The earbuds themselves are great budget earbuds-- good sound quality, good fit, good battery, but what I'm really impressed by is their customer service! One of my earbuds stopped working and I was upset (because I love these!) so I went to their website and sent a warranty request. Less than a week later, their lovely customer service people are sending a replacement! I was contacted by a real person (Freya, who was great) and they were helpful and polite. Great earbuds, great service! Highly recommend!

Nobody ever talks about TWS long time reliabilty and battery degradation

Companies are also more and more generous when it comes to warranties, repairs and replacements whenever their products fail. Example: last year ard Feb 2020, my brother in law jabra elite 65t was starting to have connection issues between both earbuds and he bought it around Dec 2018. He called up Jabra and they offered him an immediate complimentary 1-for-1 exchange , which was a pleasant surprise to him. Anyway, for me, i use wireless earbuds for casual music listening while i commute between Home & Work
