 Well pretty much everything is cheaper than Duluth, except maybe UnderArmour. But UnderArmour stuff is generally tight-fitting, so they lose that competition.  Thick enough, long enough, and I tested mine in 100 degree heat recently. Like the Duluth shirt, the thicker material worked to help wick sweat away longer than thinner shirts will. But I live in a very humid area a few miles from the Mississippi river. Very humid Mid-Spring to Fall

 Yes, even in summer I like thick material as it wicks more sweat away. The material was too thin for a work shirt, same thickness as the FOTL shirt. Slightly trim fitting, after break-in they are what I consider 'normal' for their advertised size, slightly more trim than the FOTL. $10 with Prime

The fit is fantastic above the knees, very comfortable with a low rise. The knees feel like they hit a little low, but after watching some other reviews, I think they’re where they’re supposed to be, it’s just a completely different cut than I’m used to. I didn’t have any problems with articulation while moving, they just looked a little odd to my eyes. Fjällräven offers tailoring in-store, so I’ll probably bring them in at some point just to confirm

I wore these on a short alpine lake hike around freezing temps with a 180gsm merino base layer. Then I wore them without the base layer on a short Yosemite day hike and on a longer summit near Lake Tahoe (8500’/2600m); temps were in the 40s-50s ˚F (5-15˚C) for both of those. They worked well in all those temp ranges. I haven’t added any wax to mine, choosing breathability over waterproofness since it’s dry here in southern California

I really like the 9" length it is better for hiking. The cut and over al fit of the shorts is great too. I do wish they came in 28 & 29 waist size because after a day of hiking the waist stretches out making a 30 more like a 31. Another option would to add a draw string like on surf trunks

It would be better to ditch the velcro on the rear pockets and just add a zipper to one of them to secure a wallet. As it is now it is tough to fit a regular size wallet with the velcro closed

Great shorts but.

 This is too bad because in every other respect these are great pants. Very comfortable with a flexible durable fabric. Just poor stitching that takes away from an otherwise nice product.

 I would recommend these. From a size standpoint, I am typically a 30-31, and the 32 fit pretty well. Not as big as a typical 32 fits me. My one caveat is if you want to order the "Spring" color, the pic on the website is a bit deceiving

 I found the color on line to look more of a pine green but the color in person is more of a light sage color. So I was a bit disappointed and hence my 4 star rating. But the quality of construction looks pretty solid to me.

Very comfortable shorts

 The rear zipper would take away from the look and feel of the shorts. Use the rear pockets for simple items that are not valuable. They've also worked for swimming in a pinch - light enough and dry quickly.

Best shorts I've ever owned

These are great shorts, close athletic fit, but not too tight. PROS- They stretch so they are SUPER COMFY CONS - PRICEY- but have bought many of these while on sale - The threading starts to wear out quick. Threads have come apart for me . - Logo also starts to rub off after about 5 washes

AWESOME shorts overall, but needs some work.

 I couldn't beat the price either as the sprig color was on clearance. I will be getting more of these.
