These are a class above the Klipsch. The tightness of the bass without any sacrifice for high end. Stupidly good value for money. I cannot recommend enough

My first experience with Denon: firmware not so great

Turning the TV on doesn't cause the Denon to realize a monitor is now attached and the AVR will continue to refuse to output anything on HDMI until the AVR is power cycled with the TV on. The only way I have been able to prevent this from happening is to turn on "Fast Start" mode on the TV which effectively keeps it turned on all the time (but without driving the screen if the TV is "off"). The idle power of the TV changes from less than 1 Watt to 15 Watts in this mode. What a waste of energy just so the Denon will know a TV is always connected! Again, this could be a strange interaction between this brand of TV and the Denon, but this speaks to the lack of interoperability testing

I think it's 24 or 28 gigabits per seven per second, so we'll leave it at 4k enhanced, so that'll get the 4k uh 60 um up to the um, all the hdr format...

My happy little Beyer family

Tried the Beyerdynamic T1s (gen 2) and, wow! I love how the music, for a lack of better terminology, doesn't go "into your ear" as much as seems to surround your whole head. Such clarity, good bass, and seems to work well with any genre. They had them for 550€, which seems to be a good price, especially for a rather small specialised shop.

Great receiver with some odd quirks

• Bizarrely, it also shows up on a network as an Apple Homekit device, which you can pair, but there's no actual functionality to be had.

First impressions have NOT been good.

I've gone through EVERY source possible to research the problem to no avail. I'll try to give Onkyo a call tomorrow and see if they can help - I'm sure they'll blame it on the brand new Samsung UST projector and Samsung will blame it on the Onkyo. My 10 year old Denon that was 1/3 the price and used audessey for room correction sounded both better AND louder than this $1100.00 boat anchor
