For movies bigger is better, and higher resolution is better... I won’t stick to a 27” if I were you

The only reason why I am asking is because I am trying to upgrade my monitor b/c I find myself needing more screen real estate, and I don't want to cycle through 20 different monitors to live through this same experience.

* Asus PA278QV (also too big and bit expensive but for now probably I would go with this one and try to come up with something to fit it on my desk)

This is a great monitor. Sadly, I don't know if 4k is worth it at this size, as I still end up scaling everything to match my second 1080p monitor. In fact, running 4k resolution at 100% makes everything so small, if you're looking to go with 4k I'd recommend a larger monitor. I've also noticed that red colors pop a lot more and I haven't been able to figure out how to fix this

I have found toggling the refresh rate in the display settings from 60hz to variable 40-60 and back fixes it instantly.

The problem is that the refresh rate is 29 hz by using usb-c to usb-c. One of the solutions is to open the lid while connecting may solve this issue. I hope Dell should understand that lots of people are using Macbook.

Mine also has a physical defect and I was planning on returning it. Customer service was horrible to deal with.

Pixel density is 163 pixels per inch (ppi), the same as in other 27-inch UHD monitors such as the Lenovo P27u-10(Opens in a new window) and the UP2720Q mentioned above, and higher than the Dell UltraSharp 25 USB-C Monitor (U2520D)(Opens in a new window)'s 117ppi and the Dell 27 USB-C Monitor (P2720DC)'s 108ppi. (All else being equal, the higher the pixel density, the sharper that the text and other fine detail in an image should appear.)

FYI: Although @DellCares was super-fast in asking for information, they never did respond at all once I'd provided it. If customer service is important to you, you may want to look at a different manufacturer for your next display.

Bought this during black friday in-store at Best Buy. Love the monitor, but please make sure you turn it on and immediately open up a display test website.

Viewing angle is very important to prevent fatigue. He has been using it for a month or so now and he absolutely loves it. He says he can set it up as two separate screen when using his laptop. I actually didn't think the Mac laptops did that

Great display and nice design. My 13” laptop fits under it without covering the display. No need for a stand.

Unlike most webcams it seems like they actually designed it for modern, frameless monitors: it’s gorgeous, compact, includes a cable slot and is made of metal. I seriously can’t believe how awful Logitech’s mounting solutions are in comparison.
