The DC Kalis Vulc is an all-around great skate shoe and another updated version of a classic. Josh Kalis' first DC shoe was originally released in 1999 and shared the same side panel with the Kalis Vulc, but the similarities stop there. Compared to the Kalis OG, the Kalis Vulc is much thinner, slimmer, and weighs less atop a much simpler vulcanized sole. This shoe is very comfortable and requires virtually no time to break in; it's ready to hit the board straight out of the box. The suede toe is great for flip tricks and held up really well during testing, giving it points in durability. The mesh tongue and collar give it adequate ventilation without sacrificing structure or integrity. The vulcanized sole is very grippy, and the insoles are plush and soft, providing some impact protection and making this one of the most comfortable shoes in the bunch.
The fact that the Kalis Vulc was ready to skate right away is mainly due to the sole being quite thin. However, depending on the type of skating you might be doing, this could also be seen as a negative, as these shoes are not ideal for taking big impacts or being put through heavy abuse. Even though the Kalis Vulc held up pretty well and didn't outwardly show signs of wear for a while, they did lose their shape and get floppy rather quickly. The other main drawback was the lack of lace protection. Even though most of the shoes in our test group do not have protection for the laces, the wider shape of the lace closure makes the laces more likely to get ripped and break easier on this shoe. Overall, the DC Kalis Vulc is a great skate shoe that performs among the best at a price that's a bit less, resulting in a product with strong value.

Hey this is Mark from skate warehouse and today we're gon na we're test the new adidas City Cup. I'Ve been skating these shoes for about two weeks and they're, holding up really well a little bit of ripping right here in the main, Ollie spot and a little bit of fray right here. So this shoe has some double layered suede panels up in the front, and it really adds to the durability, but it doesn't lose flexibility. These shoes felt great

 It kind of let this suede flap come down, and then you can see the AdiTuff layer here. It's not connected to the suede. It was just sewn on with it.

. One thing that I really like about the shoe is this rubber heel stabilizer right here.. It just keeps your foot super secure, snug, not going anywhere

Adidas City Cup Skate Shoes Wear Test Review - Tactics

and today we're gonna be talking about the City Cup from Adidas skateboarding.

I was really hyped to skate this shoe, I had skated samples before.

I was really hyped to see what the final product came out like.

Skates even better than the samples had.
No real faults to the shoe.

It skates great right out of the box.
Maybe one or two sessions breaking in.

It feels really great really good boardfeel. It's not a boxy shoe so you can feel the flick when you're skating.

So I've been wearing these shoes for
almost three weeks.

You can see where the stitching was right along here.

When that ripped it kind of let this suede flap come down, and then you can see the AdiTuff layer here.

It's not connected to the suede it was just
sewn on with it.

So I do a lot of flip tricks. I'm always trying to flip in or flip out of grinds and manuals.

And I wear these shoes every single day like I wear them at home I wear them at work.

I'm not the kind of person who wears different shoes and then skates in different shoes.

I just wear these all the time.
Even though these are cupsole shoes,

they're really good for technical skating.
They have a really good flick

and you can really feel your board even
right out of the box it doesn't feel awkward and bulky.

And if you want to jump down things it will give you the support you need to take in those impacts.

One thing that I really like about the shoe is this rubber heel stabilizer right here.

It just keeps your foot super secure snug not going anywhere.

One thing right off the bat to know about this shoe is that they run super (BIG) *He said it backwards! Doh!*

I normally wear nine but I had to size down to an eight just to get a pair that fit.

Other than that really they're no
complaints out of this shoe.

Once you get a pair that fits on your feet right you're gonna love these I guarantee it.

Overall I really like skating these shoes they're pretty simple. I'm definitely going to Goo this back down

and continue skating them and probably
get another 2 1/2 to 3 weeks out of them.

But yeah, I'd recommend this to anyone skating manuals, getting tech flipping in flipping out.

I'd even recommend it for transition. I can't skate transition but I imagine these would do really well.

This review is for the skateboarders out there. These shoes look fresh in almost any colorway but I have to say this is my personal favorite shoe to skate and go hard in. The city cups have something going on with the heel it comfortably grips and stabilizes the heel preventing many would be heel bruises I would have sustained had I been skating different shoes. The flick is buttery smooth and the shoe eventually molds into your foot the longer you skate them
