For this price, this speaker is the best I tried for my near field setup.  Really nice, airy treble. Very tight and fast low end.  Overall, I was very surprised at the sound quality of this speaker

The 3020i is the same price and the Elac is going for a $100 less at the time of this review. These were purchased by my son from Amazon, but "doesn't have time" to write reviews. After hooking them up to his integrated amp, he called me to come over and listen because they didn't sound right. Turned out he had the polarity wrong on one of them. While I was there we gave them a listen

  Maybe these were cheaper when they first came out? I don't know. But when matched up against the current bookshelf speakers I own:  Q Acoustics 3020i and Elac Debut 2 B6.2. Sound and build quality (especially the build quality of the 3020i) are so much better than this model of Dali
