Creative Pebble 2.0 vs Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX

These speakers are exactly what I expect $40 speakers to sound like. Their biggest crime is that they are extremely bright (very pronounced mid-highs), so if you like rock or metal, you're going to have a bad time; when I'm in my car, I tend to consume content with lots of human speech (bright speakers are great for speech) and I otherwise often listen to synth-heavier music, so I'm overall fine with this sound profile for my use. The bass extends down well enough, but isn't controlled well, so an EQ setting that eases up on bass will be appropriate. Before receiving these in the mail, I worried about how I'd mount them, as they're shaped so that the sound aims upwards towards a user when placed on a desk, and I would be placing them above a curved section of gear cluster with the drivers aimed 45 degrees outwards from myself

Klipsch ProMedia 2.1s. Really solid sound and build quality, THX certified, and almost always on sale *somewhere*.

It's just not amazing. It's alright bass. I needed these because the stereo I had in the bedroom is way too loud, the bass is too strong (Not too mention I cannot adjust the bass level) and I do not want to bother my neighbors. These work just fine and I like how portable they are

I also noticed that the bass with the klipsch was working as if in a seperate level from any music being played. With T4 any music being played sounded harmonically. If you prefer nonstop booming than get the Klipsch Promedia or the Logitech Z623, but try out the Creative T4. They might be in the same class as the bose companion speakers but with better bass

So annoying that they didn't do removable cables. I broke the USB-C connector on my Creative Pebble v2. Support wouldn't tell me the wiring or pinout.

But as far as this set goes I'll give it a 4 star, because I do not like having to get up and turn the sound up, man they need a remote I didn't think about that when I bought these for my G.daughter and another con is why isn't there a on - off switch??? I have it hooked up to a surge protector but that turns everything off so I have to un-plug them when I leave the room, I don't watch TV back there everyday but if I did which then maybe I wouldn't. I think I will wait till the warranty goes out and will open up the Sub and install a off-on switch that should be in there. I find thou that I can adjust the volume some what thru the TV when I set the volume on the speaker control to about 60 percent and use the remote to adjust some which works for me right now, but I'm looking into getting my electronic friend to help me fix a remote for the speakers their self, like he said he could do something that will work, I guess 45 years doing what he does for a living pays off for me maybe

The volume on the computer could never get to a point that she could hear; even with hearing aids. These speakers have helped tremendously and the design is attractive. I would recommend!

Still, it would have been nice to have more rounded edges like the SoundSticks III (which you shouldn't buy, I'll explain in a minute). P.S. don't forget to apply the rubber feet included in the box to the bottom of the sub, otherwise it will shake on the floor and sound weird
