Ender 3 max: Bigger build volume, pretty nice updates with the added yellow springs and metal extruder/filament sensor.  screen is ok but i dont really like that the power supply is in on the printer and not out of side, But i should be able to change that right?

If you are new to 3D printing, and are unsure of what to ask, try to include the following in your posts as a minimum:

* Your budget, set at a numeric amount. Saying "cheap," or "money is not a problem" is not an answer people can do much with. 3D printers can cost $100, they can cost $10,000,000, and anywhere in between. A rough idea of what you're looking for is essential to figuring out anything else.
* Your country of residence.
* If you are willing to build the printer from a kit, and what your level of experience is with electronic maintenance and construction if so.
* What you wish to do with the printer.
* Any extenuating circumstances that would restrict you from using machines that would otherwise fit your needs (limited space for the printer, enclosure requirement, must be purchased through educational intermediary, etc).

While this is by no means an exhaustive list of what can be included in your posts, these questions should help paint enough of a picture to get started. Don't be afraid to ask more questions, and never worry about asking too many. The people posting in this thread are here because they want to give advice, and any questions you have answered may be useful to others later on, when they read through this thread looking for answers of their own. Everyone here was new once, so chances are whoever is replying to you has a good idea of how you feel currently.

Additionally, a quick word on print quality: Most FDM/FFF (that is, filament based) printers are capable of approximately the same tolerances and print appearance, as the biggest limiting factor is in the nature of extruded plastic. **Asking if a machine has "good prints," or saying "I don't expect the best quality for $xxx" isn't actually relevant for the most part** with regards to these machines. Should you need additional detail and higher tolerances, you may want to explore SLA, DLP, and other photoresin options, as those *do* offer an increase in overall quality. If you are interested in resin machines, make sure you are aware of [how to use them safely](https://www.reddit.com/r/3DPrinting/wiki/resinprinting#wiki_safety). For these safety reasons we don't usually recommend a resin printer as someone's first printer.

Purchase Advice Megathread: What To Buy, Who To Buy It From, And More, In April 2021

 I had to extend them using the old ones.  Once replaced, I improved the head strain relief to reduce the risk of reoccurrence by designing a strain relief plate that attaches to the deck. Now it operates smoothly and hasn't broken since. It attaches with no screws or adhesive, but slips into place and stays put

 My family owns 4 Creality printers and this one was the worst, I have too assume that they have really let their quality control go down hill and that’s too bad, I’m not sure if I will buy another..

 Well I have had plenty of problems with this one for sure, it was poorly assembled,the hotend was damaged out of the box and nothing would stick to the glass print surface and the shaft on the extruder motor was bent. After replacing all of these parts I finally have it working as it should. This is a little bit smaller, but a little bit more complex, but together they were beautiful, prints out of copper, so they're kind of heavy, because it's actually copper and I'm gon na do some finishing with it and turn it into something.  Rarely use the ultimate core filament most of the filament I've used has been either specialty, filament collar fab, provided us with a ton of filament for this project. To do it. Basically, I put the copper fill, which is copper, infused filament into the printer and didn't read the manual color fab recommends you change the flow rate from a hundred percent to one hundred and eight percent. I didn't do that on my first test piece, so it kind of gunked-up

 It just seems to work. I'Ve been working with this now for about two and a half months: I've done 10:12, smaller prints and three. If you count visas, I've done three really large prints and it's been rock solid um. I will be doing more as I said, but I'm incredibly impressed with this machine and with that my name is Dana Gordon, it's a DIY
