 Not worth it for the price point IMO, but for what I need to make it works fine. Just be sure to keep the box so you can return it if need be. Be mindful that the belt quality varies from printer to printer (I bought two and one belt is higher quality than the other).

For the price I expected it to work properly put of the box. I was wrong

I have multiple belt based printers and by far this was the simplest setup out of all of them. Assembly takes less than 1 hour as most of the machine is pre-built. If you got one of the creality wifi boxes for it do your self a favor and throw it away. It was easy for us to setup the printer at my local maker space using a raspberry pi and web cam

Only hard part was leveling.

 I think it's a terrific price, if creality can mass produce and deliver at this quality level or better, i'm hoping all of the work up front is going to pay off. Creality is consulting with carl, who you know created the white night belt. Printer and they've also sent one off to bill steele who, in 2015, through polar 3d, created his own belt printer machine naomi has sent the machine not only to me, but also to chuck hellebuck angus at maker's muse, uncle jesse and matthew at design prototype test, and We have all given lots of feedback hoping to make what the backers receive be. The best machine possible naomi also send a machine to filament frenzy to specifically create tuned filament profiles that will be included with the machine when backers get it and thankfully scott the maintainer of marlin also got a cr-30, so firmware could be updated and brought to a Level that will take full advantage of the hardware platform

 At the time of filming, the kickstarter is still open, and the price for this right here is 688 u.s for the build quality and what you're getting. There would normally be a wizard on this from the very beginning. However, I believe this since the way I received this printer, this is going to be a little bit different than normal.  On this side you have where the power cable will plug in and the Usb cable right here. I have the power cable which I can go ahead and put in. This power cable actually has a switch on the front on the side of it that will allow you to turn it off and on from the power so it's not running all the time. Let's go ahead and power it on here

 And here is the cat that was on the printer already and it looks like it's good print quality. I wouldn't know since I've never printed before. I didn't know these were hollow on the inside either, but that's what was already on the printer. But I want to go ahead and test whether or not this printer actually will work for us

Should you buy MonoPrice Cadet 3D Printer???

 Auto bed leveling is done via this inductive sensor and it's capable of wireless printing via their Wii builder - Slicer or mobile app on iOS and Android Unfortunately, I Couldn't get the cadet to talk to my wireless network at all so I couldn't test the wireless printing the app used to configure. It is not good. It feels like it's incomplete. almost like a software developer was programming really hard and got to 80% of where they needed to be

 When it was done, I had a little cartoony looking dragon.  The next step was to try downloading a model from thingiverse and sending it over the network to the printer. I downloaded the app to my phone and used it to set up the WiFi details on the printer. With the coronavirus epidemic in full swing, I decided to print some clips to be used for making your own face mask

 The printer is supposed to work with Cura (and it's available in the downloads section on the Monoprice website), but I could never get the software to connect to the printer over wifi. It doesn't see the printer on the network, and I can't even get it to recognize the printer when I point to its IP address. I've tried different versions of Cura as well, with no success. Luckily, WiiBuilder seems to do everything I need it to, so I don't really miss Cura

  Finally, there's the software. WiiBuilder has worked well for me but is rather poorly made, it feels old and clunky and is in dire need of some usability updates and some time in front of a UI expert. The printer is supposed to work with Cura (and it's available in the downloads section on the Monoprice website), but I could never get the software to connect to the printer over wifi. Excellent first 3D printer

 The Cadet's tiny print area limits the size of printed objects. I scaled one of our standard test objects, which combines geometric shapes and raised text, down to 60 percent of its normal size. To my surprise, except for a couple of rough spots, it printed well despite its miniaturization. Overall print quality for the Cadet was impressive considering the printer's low price

 A setup glitch, its minuscule build volume, and its awkward filament handling keep it from wresting our budget 3D printer Editors' Choice from the XYZprinting da Vinci Mini. Still, it's easy and safe to use and consistently produced objects of good print quality in our testing.
