 Not worth it for the price point IMO, but for what I need to make it works fine. Just be sure to keep the box so you can return it if need be. Be mindful that the belt quality varies from printer to printer (I bought two and one belt is higher quality than the other).

For the price I expected it to work properly put of the box. I was wrong

I have multiple belt based printers and by far this was the simplest setup out of all of them. Assembly takes less than 1 hour as most of the machine is pre-built. If you got one of the creality wifi boxes for it do your self a favor and throw it away. It was easy for us to setup the printer at my local maker space using a raspberry pi and web cam

Only hard part was leveling.

 I think it's a terrific price, if creality can mass produce and deliver at this quality level or better, i'm hoping all of the work up front is going to pay off. Creality is consulting with carl, who you know created the white night belt. Printer and they've also sent one off to bill steele who, in 2015, through polar 3d, created his own belt printer machine naomi has sent the machine not only to me, but also to chuck hellebuck angus at maker's muse, uncle jesse and matthew at design prototype test, and We have all given lots of feedback hoping to make what the backers receive be. The best machine possible naomi also send a machine to filament frenzy to specifically create tuned filament profiles that will be included with the machine when backers get it and thankfully scott the maintainer of marlin also got a cr-30, so firmware could be updated and brought to a Level that will take full advantage of the hardware platform

 At the time of filming, the kickstarter is still open, and the price for this right here is 688 u.s for the build quality and what you're getting. Now you may have done this already, so this next part might be key for you, as it was for me. As the print starts extruding the purge line, and then the skirt/brim, look really really close at the filament being laid down. If it isn’t sticking at all right away, nozzle is almost definitely too far from the bed. If it’s sticking but not well, still probably too far

I have gone through an entire fucking roll of filament trying to troubleshoot this god damn printer (Creality CP-01). I have used various types of glue, heated the glass bed, used masking tape, slowed down the print speed, sped up the print speed, switched filament types, preheated my filament, dried out the filament, resealed it in bags when not in use, roughed up the build plate with \*super\* fine sandpaper, changed the infill percentage, changed slicing software - NOTHING has \*\*fucking\*\* worked, and I am \*super\* close to just throwing my shitty printer out into the trash so it can actually do something productive other than take up space in my garage and print spaghetti.

Any advice? Do I need an enclosure? I live in Nevada, there is literally \*\*no\*\* moisture present.

My God Damn Print Won't Stay Stuck to the Fucking Build Plate

 It'S still quite easy to turn, and this is where you want, because we want a really smooth motion. So, for the last few things all we need to do is plug in some connectors and there's actually only a few there's these two stepper motors. So quite simple. One here and then one on this side and then we have a large main wire and it has two plugs on it

 So it is smart enough to know not to put a hot nozzle into the bed. I'M really happy to see that kind of attention to detail all right. So it is 117 temperature and it's starting to go okay, so it actually touches the bed and takes its measurement like that really cool thinking about this guys. This might be the best way to do this, because not only will it be always accurate, since it's the nozzle, there should be a lot less issues with this kind of level

 So quite simple. One here and then one on this side and then we have a large main wire and it has two plugs on it. There'S one about halfway and that one will go right here and that's a junction box where everything is distributed to the end, stop switches and the motors so that'll plug in right here. Just like that, and the other end goes to the hot end, which is here right on top, you can see, there's a plug and that just simply plugs right into there

 Now you might want to go ahead and go around the printer and check all the bolts, because they do tighten them up really good at the factory, but over time, and also temperature changes can loosen them up a bit. So checking them is always a good idea. Make sure they're, nice and snug, so one of these was quite loose yeah this one's very loose, so there's four more on the other side, and these are very tight. So that's good! Now there are some more bolts that are underneath, and these are quite important if these are loose, the y axis can wobble back and forth so definitely check these underneath and make sure they're, nice and snug

If you are new to 3D printing, and are unsure of what to ask, try to include the following in your posts as a minimum:

* Your budget, set at a numeric amount. Saying "cheap," or "money is not a problem" is not an answer people can do much with. 3D printers can cost $100, they can cost $10,000,000, and anywhere in between. A rough idea of what you're looking for is essential to figuring out anything else.
* Your country of residence.
* If you are willing to build the printer from a kit, and what your level of experience is with electronic maintenance and construction if so.
* What you wish to do with the printer.
* Any extenuating circumstances that would restrict you from using machines that would otherwise fit your needs (limited space for the printer, enclosure requirement, must be purchased through educational intermediary, etc).

While this is by no means an exhaustive list of what can be included in your posts, these questions should help paint enough of a picture to get started. Don't be afraid to ask more questions, and never worry about asking too many. The people posting in this thread are here because they want to give advice, and any questions you have answered may be useful to others later on, when they read through this thread looking for answers of their own. Everyone here was new once, so chances are whoever is replying to you has a good idea of how you feel currently.

Additionally, a quick word on print quality: Most FDM/FFF (that is, filament based) printers are capable of approximately the same tolerances and print appearance, as the biggest limiting factor is in the nature of extruded plastic. **Asking if a machine has "good prints," or saying "I don't expect the best quality for $xxx" isn't actually relevant for the most part** with regards to these machines. Should you need additional detail and higher tolerances, you may want to explore SLA, DLP, and other photoresin options, as those *do* offer an increase in overall quality. If you are interested in resin machines, make sure you are aware of [how to use them safely](https://www.reddit.com/r/3DPrinting/wiki/resinprinting#wiki_safety). For these safety reasons we don't usually recommend a resin printer as someone's first printer.
