 Been doing this for forever. This is a very raw honest one month after. If you first find 3d printer, this is if you're in the market and you're the first 3d print that you're gonna get or just in general you look at this model. This is as closest of an honest review to a person that's not a professional but is experienced with this for at least a month

Creality CR10S Pro V2 Review

 The new main board is worth mentioning, as are the quiet TMC Stepper motor drivers and Cree. LED have made the surprising that welcome Moved to import Capricorn Teflon tube something a lot of people previously upgraded to Now I might add something subjective and it's how handsome this printer looks. compared to the previous CR Tens where there control boxes to the sides and wiring everywhere, this all-in-one design looks a lot more sophisticated I particularly like the red anodized aluminium pieces all around the machine. Not to say it's perfect

 even if Cree ality don't big tick to the power supply for using a branded and certified Meanwell version, it's probably once again worth mentioning the appearance. I Still think this thing looks pretty slick and I should also mention how quiet the stepper motor drivers are because not only does it produce very smooth movement, but they're quiet quiet as well. You should avoid the Ender 3 V2 you listed. Or avoid the Ender 3 series in general. That Ender 3 v2 is stupidly expensive for what it is worth at 280 dollars.

I have no clue where to start. There are so many facets to this stiff and I don’t know what I’m doing or what questions to ask or who to turn to. It’s really been a struggle for me

If you are new to 3D printing, and are unsure of what to ask, try to include the following in your posts as a minimum:

* Your budget, set at a numeric amount. Saying "cheap," or "money is not a problem" is not an answer people can do much with. 3D printers can cost $100, they can cost $10,000,000, and anywhere in between. A rough idea of what you're looking for is essential to figuring out anything else.
* Your country of residence.
* If you are willing to build the printer from a kit, and what your level of experience is with electronic maintenance and construction if so.
* What you wish to do with the printer.
* Any extenuating circumstances that would restrict you from using machines that would otherwise fit your needs (limited space for the printer, enclosure requirement, must be purchased through educational intermediary, etc).

While this is by no means an exhaustive list of what can be included in your posts, these questions should help paint enough of a picture to get started. Don't be afraid to ask more questions, and never worry about asking too many. The people posting in this thread are here because they want to give advice, and any questions you have answered may be useful to others later on, when they read through this thread looking for answers of their own. Everyone here was new once, so chances are whoever is replying to you has a good idea of how you feel currently.

Additionally, a quick word on print quality: Most FDM/FFF (that is, filament based) printers are capable of approximately the same tolerances and print appearance, as the biggest limiting factor is in the nature of extruded plastic. **Asking if a machine has "good prints," or saying "I don't expect the best quality for $xxx" isn't actually relevant for the most part** with regards to these machines. Should you need additional detail and higher tolerances, you may want to explore SLA, DLP, and other photoresin options, as those *do* offer an increase in overall quality. If you are interested in resin machines, make sure you are aware of [how to use them safely](https://www.reddit.com/r/3DPrinting/wiki/resinprinting#wiki_safety). For these safety reasons we don't usually recommend a resin printer as someone's first printer.

Purchase Advice Megathread - December 2021

  Once assembled, continued to follow the instructions to level the bed and ensure the z-axis sensor was properly placed. Preheated the nozzle and bed, plugged in the SD card, the print started, and after 10 seconds of printing threw a ERR: MAXTEMP, so I did some research checked thermistor connections on board and at nozzle with no issues, bad board maybe? I don't know.  Edit: just after writing this review I did one more check, and heard the thermistor screw can sometimes be too tight, giving a MAXTEMP error, loosened the screw just the slightest and now it's printing just fine.  Check all screws and connections thoroughly if you buy before attempting your first print

  Update 4/6/22: The cooling fan is now rattling so loud I can't let the printer print overnight, I've had it shut down for a couple days, sent two emails to sovol that have gone without response, I've only had this printer for a week and was just asking for a replacement cooling fan. Maybe it's just been bad timing for them, but this experience has kind of stopped being enjoyable, I just want the printer to have working parts.

  Edit: just after writing this review I did one more check, and heard the thermistor screw can sometimes be too tight, giving a MAXTEMP error, loosened the screw just the slightest and now it's printing just fine.  Check all screws and connections thoroughly if you buy before attempting your first print. Missing parts, constant MAXTEMP error

 Let me put this off to the side a little bit and now that we've gone over the major features of the sb0 one. Let me tell you what I like most about it. I like that it's almost completely assembled out of the box. You both the gantry and the screen to the base hook up a few wires and you're good to go

 It'Ll keep you Cala kat, and it's done a great job with everything that I've thrown at it. So that's the s b01. 3D printer. The Sovol SV01 3D Printer Review: Is it any good?

  The sovol 1 has the thermal runaway problems and the broken nozzle problem.  Both printers have nice upgrades you can get for a better ease of use but all the plugs on the motherboard are hotglued in so you risk hurting the motherboard when trying to install and that doesn't seem use friendly  I've had to use the return service on both of them but the sovol 3 still has a wobbly nozzle issue and the sovol 1s nozzle still broke off in the hot end while replacing. I will not be buying from sovol again I wish you luck and hope you get on of there more cared for production models.

 It is built with quality parts and the machine was done well. I didn't find any miss drills or missing or stripped screws. I did make a minor adjustment to the z alignment in relation to the base frame, a couple of mm. This put the two z lead screws more in sync

 I have a cad package now so I can design and print stuff I need to finish several projects. The quality of the pinter is very high. It is built with quality parts and the machine was done well. I didn't find any miss drills or missing or stripped screws
