 What to do if you're somebody who needs a direct drive on a large format printer which has to work reliably, this machine is something for you only if you want to invest some time tinkering and improving the machine. It's not that extreme, but you will need some time. If you're a user who wants to take it out of the box, assemble it for 20 minutes, and then never touch it again, then this machine might not be for you to give you a little bit impression of my own journey about a sprinter. I made this small little graphics where you have time on the X-axis and height on the y-axis Um, basically this was my experience after buying the printer

 All in all, yes, I would re-buy this machine, but I would have a different expectation of the machine. And for me, it's personally very important that you have the right expectation.  It's the build volume. The print volume is huge and these prints are working really reliable. Even when printing for four five days or stuff like that, the prints almost never fail. The second point I already mentioned at the first point I had a really low failure rate

Ender 3 max: Bigger build volume, pretty nice updates with the added yellow springs and metal extruder/filament sensor.  screen is ok but i dont really like that the power supply is in on the printer and not out of side, But i should be able to change that right?

If you are new to 3D printing, and are unsure of what to ask, try to include the following in your posts as a minimum:

* Your budget, set at a numeric amount. Saying "cheap," or "money is not a problem" is not an answer people can do much with. 3D printers can cost $100, they can cost $10,000,000, and anywhere in between. A rough idea of what you're looking for is essential to figuring out anything else.
* Your country of residence.
* If you are willing to build the printer from a kit, and what your level of experience is with electronic maintenance and construction if so.
* What you wish to do with the printer.
* Any extenuating circumstances that would restrict you from using machines that would otherwise fit your needs (limited space for the printer, enclosure requirement, must be purchased through educational intermediary, etc).

While this is by no means an exhaustive list of what can be included in your posts, these questions should help paint enough of a picture to get started. Don't be afraid to ask more questions, and never worry about asking too many. The people posting in this thread are here because they want to give advice, and any questions you have answered may be useful to others later on, when they read through this thread looking for answers of their own. Everyone here was new once, so chances are whoever is replying to you has a good idea of how you feel currently.

Additionally, a quick word on print quality: Most FDM/FFF (that is, filament based) printers are capable of approximately the same tolerances and print appearance, as the biggest limiting factor is in the nature of extruded plastic. **Asking if a machine has "good prints," or saying "I don't expect the best quality for $xxx" isn't actually relevant for the most part** with regards to these machines. Should you need additional detail and higher tolerances, you may want to explore SLA, DLP, and other photoresin options, as those *do* offer an increase in overall quality. If you are interested in resin machines, make sure you are aware of [how to use them safely](https://www.reddit.com/r/3DPrinting/wiki/resinprinting#wiki_safety). For these safety reasons we don't usually recommend a resin printer as someone's first printer.

Purchase Advice Megathread: What To Buy, Who To Buy It From, And More, In April 2021

 I had to extend them using the old ones.  Once replaced, I improved the head strain relief to reduce the risk of reoccurrence by designing a strain relief plate that attaches to the deck. Now it operates smoothly and hasn't broken since. It attaches with no screws or adhesive, but slips into place and stays put

Broke after 40 hours of use, otherwise excellent.

 My family owns 4 Creality printers and this one was the worst, I have too assume that they have really let their quality control go down hill and that’s too bad, I’m not sure if I will buy another..

 Well I have had plenty of problems with this one for sure, it was poorly assembled,the hotend was damaged out of the box and nothing would stick to the glass print surface and the shaft on the extruder motor was bent. After replacing all of these parts I finally have it working as it should. My family owns 4 Creality printers and this one was the worst, I have too assume that they have really let their quality control go down hill and that’s too bad, I’m not sure if I will buy another.
