The Crane Travel Humidifier operates differently from other travel humidifiers that I have used. It starts when you activate it; no warm-up needed. The biggest problem is its output is too small. If you were in a hotel room the size of a telephone booth, it would be perfect

Suggestion for Use, especially one and two star reviewers

 I neglected to use distilled water and have tried my darndest to clean both the inside and top of the disc with white vinegar swab (soaked and let sit an hour), but can only get a very fine mist now and the top of the device feels warm like it’s working too hard. I love how portable it is and have taken just the unit (used cup at friend’s house) on trips out to Utah and put it on at night time (out of arms reach). Purchased mine in January 2019. Would probably still be going if I did not use hard water…

 So i'll put it on like so all right and let's put some water in filling up one gallon tank. This does a room nicely um, as i said before, i'm from using this again, because my new furnace that i bought is kind of powerful and it really dries out the room. It doesn't have a humidifier, and i remember i had this, so i decided to basically put it together again and start using it. So i think that's enough water put this over here, so [, Music, ] and that's what it looks like almost all filled up

How to operate the Honeywell Designer Series Cool Mist Humidifier

Bought this because of the size (much smaller than the other Honeywells) but the machine makes a lot of water splashing noise throughout the night. Shortly after I bought this one, we bought a Levoit humidifier that is cheaper, quieter (no water noises), and easier to use (too fills so no spilling when picking the tank up or putting it in place). I would not recommend this product and would opt for the Levoit one if I could!

Decent product but wouldn’t recommend

 It's super easy. And with these units, SUPER important, as everything in the water tank turns into tiny particles and goes out into your air. Just move the entire unit to a bathroom or kitchen counter. Measure out 2 cups of distilled vinegar, and let it soak in the unit for 20 minutes (instructions included)

  I have read that this white dust can be harmful to breathe. I don't want to take chances with it. I could get a ZERO water filter, but I decided to try an evaporative humidifier instead.  CLEANING

 If you have the speed up on 3 or 4, I'd have a fan on low. This worked for me in keeping the condensation build up from happening around the machine. You'll also want a hygrometer of course to keep track of the humidity levels. Anything above 60% can cause problems

 Dr. Mercola has an article recommending not going over 45% in order to reduce the risk of mold and fungus build up.  Overall, unless you're using distilled water and are diligently cleaning the unit every week, I recommend an evaporative humidifier instead.  I hope this helps! Figuring out humidifiers can be a little overwhelming when you're new to it!

 Now I’m trying to air out my house during the winter which is not ideal but at least my family and house is safe. Do not leave this machine unattended, could be a fire hazard!

 Okay, so we're all ready for that. So, let's clean the tank, let's take the top off, and this here is a couple of cups. You can use a cup and a half two cups of vinegar, let's pour it in the tank like so. Okay, let's put the cap back on now the sweet smell of vinegar, but we're going to get rid of this uh mineral deposit here so switch it around a bit like so make sure it's all nice and squishy inside every place gets coated and then we're going To put it back in the reservoir like, so let it do its thing for about 20 minutes

 Take a little rag, i'm right in here. If you can see right in there, i'm going to kind of mop around not too hard because some sensitive parts in here not too hard, okay and try and get anything else. I don't see any floaties one more sniff test, i don't smell any vinegar clean her up good and this baby is ready to be put back together. Okay, so we can't forget the essential oil tray

 Let'S pull this baby out! It'S been 20 minutes and now we're going to get the sweet smell of vinegar out of the tank here. Let'S pour into the sink, and let's get some water put that there for now i'm a little bit sloppy when it comes to cleaning. But let's get some water in here and swish around until we get rid of the sweet smell of vinegar. Okay pop that open pour it out

 Oh my god, that's the best smell, no more smell of vinegar. That'S pretty quick! Let'S do the cap here, okay, okay, back on and that's ready and it's time to clean the reservoir. So you can see it's a little bit of water in there, okay and like once again the little arrow pointing that's where you pour any liquids out because they say they don't want uh you're pouring it out this side, some might leak into the control panel. Here it probably won't, but they won't take any chances
