I've looked pretty extensively at the best value purifiers in terms of cost to CADR rato and found the winners to be the Coway Mighty AP-1512HH (note: NOT the AirMega) and the Blue air 211+. These models get high ratings from consumer reports and Wirecutter as well. I have 2 of the mighties for our bedrooms and a 211+ for our living room and have been happy with them. 

Looking for some personal recommendations from people running air purifiers in there home because im looking to buy one. Any advice or feedback is welcome

Edit2: Im looking for the best model possible for HEPA filtration and a carbon solution for gas/VOC/odor. that would hopefully work for most of the house. I will eventually add another unit or two to supplement. I&#39;m trying to find the top of the line, best of the best air purifier. Something that blows the competition out of the water and has a solid warranty and build quality. High purchase price is okay.

 It turns on higher when needed, when it detects odors and impurities in the air (just now, when my son is making popcorn, it kicked on). It's a powerhouse that works really well. I also like that it's compact and has a nice sleek look to it. It blends into the decor and I'm really glad it's not black

Noticeable improvement

 I keep mine in "auto" mode and that really works - if any type of particulate matter is introduced to the room (like cigar smoke, for instance) the unit goes into high gear until the air is clean again. I am quite pleased with the purchase and would definitely recommend this product.

Why We Love the Coway Mighty

 Inner packaging was good. The unit is clearly well made and quality appears good, and operates normally, but we have not had chance to assess its effectiveness so far. Most disappointing is there is an App which refers directly to this model - Zero Pro, but there is no means to connect to our internal WiFi and thus the full capability of the App. The App configuration requires one to press the WiFi button on the unit to make the pairing

 An inbuilt handle is at the back (image below refers). The control panel is easy to use on the top right hand side at the front (image below refers).  SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS along with USE & CARE INSTRUCTIONS are included along with REPLACEMENT FILTER detail (image below refers) ~ LED indicator (timing of which may vary according to the environment).  ooOoo  The WINIX AIR PURIFIER MODEL ZERO-S arrived well packed in a branded cardboard box, secured with a thick polystyrene-like layer top & bottom

  The front of the unit is sealed with tape on arrival (image below refers), which needs to be removed in order to install the filters. The filters come packed in a plastic bag inside the machine and need installing in the correct sequence prior to use, but this is quite straightforward following the detail on the aforementioned INSTRUCTION LEAFLET:  1. ~ ‘PRE-FILTER (front) designed to catch larger airborne particles found indoors. 2

 The cable length on the one I received is around 1.8 M + the UK plug, and there is a cable tidy on the base (image below refers). An inbuilt handle is at the back (image below refers). The control panel is easy to use on the top right hand side at the front (image below refers)

Easy to set up, just open and put in the filters, and intuitive to operate with manual and auto settings. This is pretty quiet unless you have it on turbo, and the night mode takes the noise level down. Looks fine and doesn't take up too much space. If you have allergies, it's helpful, and the light system shows you air purity

I've been using this for weeks now to meet clients indoors with reduced Covid risk (as opening windows becomes too chilly). It's reasonably quiet on most fan settings except turbo. The built in monitoring of air quality with colour coded light display is excellent but uncalibrated.  I switch the Plasmawave ionisation off each time as I can't trace independent research to say it's ok, but some ventilation experts distrust it

One downside is that it's hard to carry around as it isn't balanced around the recessed handle and the handle doesn't provide a good grip

 So I have it on setting 2 or 3. Setting 4s sound is not noticeable during the day but at night its probably too loud to sleep with on the full power. But even with full power, it's quieter than a floor or ceiling fan. If you choose automatic setting, which is brilliant, then at night, when you turn your lights off, its sensors pick this up and it goes to sleep mode (the machine doesn't go to sleep like a computer, it just goes to the lowest setting which is silent, plus the indication lights turn off so there's no distractions)

 Now this is where the machine really shows how good it is. So your sat in the living room and the machine is on automatic setting, it's cycled through your dusty room and it's gone to blue. Pure air. But if you get up and walk into the kitchen, walk past it, open a door, breathe near it lol it senses it straight away and goes to amber and starts purifying again

 The sensors are amazing on this machine. Red lights is when the air is bad. Then amber which is still bad in my opinion. Then it goes to blue (why not green? Lol traffic lights? Lol)

 I would recommend this system to anyone, but especially to those suffering health issues due to airborne pollutants as you will notice a big difference to your health issues as we have

 There are various settings on the machine from automatic, sleep mode, timer and even a wifi option. Variable speeds from high to low and turbo, and also a useful childlock to deter little fingers. The unit can be used via an app on your device once downloaded and this is suitable for both Apple and android products. the app us very easy to use I have already noticed the benefits of this machine in removing the harmful pollutants which aggregate asthma and airborne allergies

This has helped greatly in getting a better quality of sleep and the only sign it is running is the colour changing light on the front of the machine

 The machine has a light which illuminates when filters need changing, which according to the detailed instruction booklet is approximately every four months. We live in a large house and this machine is more than adequate to purify the air in our property, despite its small size. The only negative I have come across at e moment is the absence of wheels to move the device. Failing this, small pads could have been provided to protect wooden flooring, however I have rectified this by attaching small cork pads to the four corners

 This really works, I invited a gassy friend over who really gives out gas like Satan to eat that curry and plied with a few beers on top for good measure he went to the device and let a few gas bombs rip out and this purifier's led went red rightaway and gradually back through the colours to blue after purifing his abnoxious gas deeds. Finally the sleep mode is truly quiet. Overall a great deal from Amazon and highly recommended. There's a free filter leaflet in the box too, claim it by post, it's worth £89

This is not some cheap replica of a famous Swiss Air purifier. I was very skeptical that it would work. I moved to a house which turned out to be in a very dusty and pollen filled area, with constant sneezing and it got to a point where I had enough of anti-histamines and nose spray. I have severe Hayfever and allergies and this device solved all the problems

I had doubts this would work, but I was wrong

 That is in comparison to my de-humidifier (also an air purifier but not as high spec as this) which I wouldn’t leave running in the bedroom when trying to sleep, but I would with the Winix because it is so quiet.  Now the weather is warmer and we have the windows open more, I generally turn the machine off during the day as it feels a little pointless to me, but turn it back on at night. I usually suffer with mild hay fever to is time of year but haven’t really noticed it much so far, hopefully this is connected! After spending more time at home over the last year this air purifier is a welcome addition. The Zero S model is a slightly upgraded version of the standard Zero model, with slightly different styling, an activated carbon filter snd slightly improved performance.  You will need to consider where to place it to meet the requirements in the instructions for it to work effectively - in a hard, flat surface, out of direct sunlight, 5-10cm from walls and 30-45 cm other electronic devices.  I have left it running on auto for the last three weeks and have barely noticed it from a noise point of view
