I have found that the historical chart regularly displays the quality of the air as always very good and shows little variation in the quality, despite the real-time status of the air quality regularly spiking into the 'very poor' range due to my use of aerosols in that room. It seems as though the historical chart averages our the air-quality and smooths out the spikes so much that I have never seen the historical chart show anything outside of the very good range. In my opinion this significantly diminishes the usefulness of the feature. I also own a Dyson air purifier with an air quality sensor and I have found the historical chart for that device to provide a historical chart of air quality with much greater resolution

The power of this unit is amazing, if you turn it up all the way IT IS LOUD, but at the lowest setting I don't really notice the unit, other items in my room make more noise. I'm going to put some recommendations below, but if you can only afford one unit, don't worry, even 2 full air scrubs an hour is AMAZING, better then most things out there. If you keep it running 24 hours a day your house will be VERY clean. My 2 cents in an IDEAL situation (if you have the extra money to spend): In single floor house I would get one for the master bedroom and one for a common area (living room, kitchen, dining room) as far away from the bedroom as possible

You can put the back of the unit against the wall, just not the sides. My only other advise after doing some major research on air purifiers and getting the most benefit out of one is to leave it running 24/7 without depending on Smart Mode. This is the only way you can guarantee clean/fresh air because it will never enter Sleep Mode and wait for a trigger. I leave mine on Level 2 from 7am until 2am

The filters on this unit are impressive. One side is a honeycomb filter media loaded with carbon pellets for filtering out odors, with the other side being the HEPA. Once I had these unpacked, I installed the pre-filters and replaced the exterior covers and got this unit up and running! Operation is very easy and straight forward

This is a simple conversion that would be very easily done by any smart phone. More importantly, the graphics capabilities of smart phones would greatly enhance the utility of the data by revealing nuances that would escape examination of discrete data packets. Finally, the use of Bluetooth and smart phones would eliminate the cumbersome interface and provide a time stamp with the data.

Approx. life is 12 months (we'll see). There is a filter change % indicator which is great; with other air filters I've owned a red light just comes on so you aren't sure how urgent a filter change really is. I also appreciate the Max2 filter's high quality and low cost ($99 set)

- The noise levels are reasonable, and the sound this unit makes is not annoying in any way. The highest setting certainly makes some noise, but it is very smooth sounding and it's almost like a soothing background noise without any annoying buzzing sounds that some fans can make at high speed. Noise levels at low and medium speed are perfect, you may not even realize it is running unless the room is silent. - In smart mode, when it automatically switches from off to low to circulate air, the fan seems to make a burst of noise before quieting down that is noticeable -- almost like it starts at high and works its way down from there
