Cosori Pro Air Fryer vs GoWISE USA GW22731

Once I realized my hatred for the Cuisinart would never be cured, I bought the Cosori XL basket fryer and I love it. I’m now able to follow recipes and air fry things without them burning to a crisp. Did I mention that I hate the Cuisinart?

Basket failure. I think I might know what is happening. The very first time I made french fries, I did what I feel every single air fryer newb has done, I shook the fries with the inner basket still inside the outer basket. For me, it only took one time to realize I didn't like the excess oil and crumbs going everywhere

Note to all: DONT use oven cleaner on it even though I came across a thread where people recommended using it. The grease indeed did come off, but at that cost of the non stick coating.

I bought this in May of 2022, by Dec 2022 the nonstick surface of the bottom of the drawer started to crack and peel off in chunks, now the pan where you actually put the food is also beginning to peel the nonstick surface off. I really love it, very easy to use, works great but I don't want to eat the nonstick paint. sad face

It’s a different way to cook, but what I’ve cooked so far, I like. I’ve fried chicken, steaks, jalapeño poppers, and even breaded red fish. Guess the only drawback with the fryer is the size. The basket is big for baskets, but if your cooking for several people, (more than 2), you have to cook in stages

i didnt want something too expensive but the biggest i could get for the money. GoWise 5.8 qt fit the bill. so glad i didnt do anything smaller

The instructions state that you must always preheat the fryer before using, and by doing that, I have had success with a variety of foods. However, one thing to note: you must always select a preset [steak, vegetable, chicken, etc.] and then adjust the temperature or time to your liking; you cannot simply set a temperature or time. The automatic pause halfway through cooking in order to shake/flip your food only works [beeps & turns off heat] if you do not adjust the preset times/temps

OK, so it's been 10 minutes and let's see how they look. Ooh, they are sizzling still. Nice. Definitely too hot to touch

It produces such a clean taste. Definitely for someone who has health issues that greasy foods would aggravate and exacerbate. Should’ve gotten this a long time ago. Saves time and energy and it tastes better

Only the size of the pizza is small. I will continue to cook my food in the air fryer, as it is a healthy way helping to consume less fat in food.

Now I have more access to my oven for baking larger amounts of food. Also great when you need to bake more than 1 thing at once.

We have always used the parchment liners (200 on Amazon for around $10), machine still functions flawlessly. As an added note in regards to Pam sprays, also, NEVER use them on your nonstick cookware for the same reason! However, if you need to use a spray, I recommend Baker's Joy. It doesn't have the same chemical makeup as the Pam's, etc, and will not harm the nonstick. We have been using it for years, pans still look and work as good as when brand new
