Cooking Time

My New Head Chef - Does All My Cooking for Me

First off, I absolutely hate cooking. I don't like the mess. It takes too much time. My recipes never turn out like they show in the cookbooks

I tried this tonight wasn't bad the only problem I had was my fries cooked faster then the preset time for fries. So I will have to learn the right time for the fries I like!!! The fries tastes like the were fried with oil so that was awesome!

Great first impressions -

F. At 3 minutes remaining, I pulled the basket out and checked them with the intent of flipping them over. But I decided to wait and see what the end result if they weren't flipped. I was very surprised to see the end result were biscuits that looked as if they had been cooked in a conventional oven

Temperature

Works very well. Some mixed results on certain items that I need to figure out.

I wish the temp could go about 50 degrees higher overall, but it works pretty well regardless and it's far less messy than an actual grease deep fryer and uses less oil.

Large (without much benefit) and ran so hot underneath it cracked my countertop!

Unit is extremely large, but the actual surface area of the bottom frying plate isn’t substantially bigger than smaller fryers. That’s the part that matters (it doesn’t work well to stack food — especially wet battered — in air fryers). Biggest complaint though is how hot it gets underneath. To be fair, there is a warning in the manual about this

Nonstick Surface

Best Air Fryer on the Market!

She noticed many of them had baskets that the non stick flaked off just after a few uses so she has informed me that this one has a great coating. I think it may be ceramic but anyway she says it is a breeze to clean. She thought it was making weird noises so she contacted Customer Support and within a few hours she had a response. They asked her to video tape the unit in operation and once reviewing the video they got right back to her and said it was normal so we know they stand behind their products

Great...for about a month

I was told that i would be "put on a list for a replacement basket when they become available" ( which I'm guessing is never) Since that interaction now both the basket and the basket holder are losing their non-stick coating. This really is unacceptable that the key parts of this machine have failed in 30 days. With GoWise not offering any real support, and with others having similar issues, look elsewhere for your air fryer.

Size

Rock solid quality air fryer!

3 exclusive for Macy but I had to return it due to the quality/ size concern. Eventually going back to my favorite pressure cooker brand cosori and I found this widget. A bit bigger than I used to have, voltage is my main concern, but it square out when I actually used it. Fried Chickens received compliments from my wife and daughter

Can't really review performance...

very pretty color, felt well made, the actual basket is square and pretty large but not as large as my 5.5qt Cook's Essentials from QVC. Needless to say I returned the broken one I received and had the basket been the same size or larger then the one I have I would've asked that they send me a replacement

Frying Basket

Good air fryer, but read the phone app permissions

There are a few things I would like to see improved on this air fryer. The handle which attaches the inner basket to the lower basket feels like it will not stand the test of time. I think this would be better if the inner basket and its handle were one solid piece instead of a plastic handle fastened to the basket. The clear plastic piece covering the button which releases the inner basket from the lower basket feels like it is about to fall off at any moment

I love the delicious food this air fryer made with less heat in the kitchen! BUT after only two weeks of use, the fryer basket, non-stick coating started flaking off. GO Wise telephones roll right into voice mail instructing customers to send an email for service. More concerningly, following the manual and recipe instructions to "shake" the food contents in the basket to allow for even cooking, the basket disconnected all by itself just by shaking and fell apart landing on my kitchen floor. This was while blazing hot food and metal was flying through the air

Now I can make my own and not worry about cross-contamination. It's quick (for frozen items, fresh take longer), every bit as crispy as deep fat fried, and bonus, better for you. Double bonus, no messy oils sitting on your kitchen counter, splattering your backsplash, and clogging your drains if you dump it down the sink. I'm not over the top about the touch screen, I would prefer buttons, but it functions adequately
