Gutted my NZXT H200 to transplant into this Cooler Master NR200P. Made a substantial bracket to hold an ATX power supply, unlike the usual cable tie/velcro bodge jobs that we've all seen -. \- Ryzen 5 3600 with Be Quiet Dark Rock 4 cooler and 2x Arctic P12's (intake from rear).

Cooler master nr200p because you can easily build smaller systems due to nvme, no optical drives, and no large hard drives anymore. Oh yeah and also it has actual good airflow unlike my shitty previous evolv matx case.

As someone who is now building a fully new PC after 6 1/2 years (and purchased a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv case 2 years after building), what made you choose your current PC case?  
Personally, I am looking at an Lian Li Lancool 2 Performance model for my next build, however, I’ve only exclusively looked for airflow. What made you choose your case for a new build?

Why did you choose your PC case?

 Cheap: NR200(P). Good aesthetics, supports ATX power supplies, 20-25L, good airflow, super easy to build in. It's just an all around good, cheap case.

<p>Edit: After some really good feedback, I wanted to tack on that this decision is just because I am currently running a full ATX machine (the first one I ever built). And it is serving me well, but boy howdy is it a chonker. </p>

<p>I want it to be able to fit on my desk, and have been looking for smaller form factors. </p>

<p>I use it for work (just data entry and emails, lots of Google Chrome) and for gaming. </p>

<p>Some parts I will be carrying over would be a MSI RX 570, my 2 sticks of 8GB RAM, and 2 nVME M2 drives, a 4 TB 2.5 HDD, and a 2.5 SSD.   </p>

Small Form Factor Suggestions

This is very similar to what i'm thinking to do if i don't get the NR200P Max! Same cpu, same mb type, same fans everywhere. Even ram and storage, the things i already bought, are exactly the same capacity :D Very nice!

Another NR200 build, details for the journey below.

  Though the NR200 can accommodate almost any ITX hardware, its layout design is not completely perfect. I would have appreciated some gaps in the frame or motherboard area for routing cables behind the motherboard. One of my PSU cables is routed between the motherboard panel and the case's right side panel (when looking towards the case), but it's the flat kind which raises the case's side panel ever so slightly. Others with round or quality braided cables looking to route their cables behind the motherboard without raising the side case panel will need to route the cables in the gap between the motherboard and the motherboard panel

 The end of the metal frame is bent inwards slightly as shown in the picture. I haven't encountered problems while plugging and unplugging USB devices, albeit carefully, into the jack multiple times over the past couple of weeks, so I didn't deduct a star or try to get it replaced. I'm optimistic that it'll stay as-is and not get bent worse over time. If this is a problem in manufacturing, hopefully Cooler Master can address this issue

5" hard drives to my system, are possible in this case, which is easily transportable, though not quite backpack portable. I won't spend much time talking more about the positives of this case but I'll highlight some of my gripes, which should not be deal breakers, but ways that Cooler Master can improve the case without reducing its capabilities.  Still, I might replace both of them with Noctua fans to get the quietest possible airflow, and the 92mm fan will definitely not fit when I upgrade to the CPU cooler I plan on getting. Though Cooler Master included fans to appeal to customers who will use stock coolers and don't want to worry about aftermarket cooling solutions, they still have an opportunity to cater to more enthusiast consumers (who constitute a large part of the SFF community). Many SFF builders will either not need the included fans, or prefer to choose their own. They likely also prefer having near to mid-term future proof features

 Higher-end setups are going to turn the glass panel case setup into a toaster. Most folks opt to stay with the mesh side panel. If you're using RGB, take your time with the wiring, so you can avoid obstructing your fans.  Remember that the vertically-mounted GPU obscures most of the fans and AIO pump from view

  Having dabbled a little in SFF builds in the past several years, I want to express the lack of real benefit to most buyers for this style case, beyond operating temperatures. Most people would still be better off with a compact ATX or MATX case, either of which can certainly be built for less money. Tower style SFF cases, such as the NZXT H1 make a lot more sense for small form factor, if desk space savings is your aim. The footprint of the CM NR200 series still takes up a fair amount of room comparitively

 I considered using an LED strip to provide some RGB, beyond just the RAM and GPU accents, but the case interior leaves no real room for a strip, especially since all of the panels are snapped together to the chassis. In short, you might decide to save the coin and buy non-RGB components. Additionally you'll need to use some thinner case fans on the bottom. If you don't already have fans to use, you might go to something low profile to avoid contact between the GPU riser cable and the fan housing

 The included AIO and rock-solid chassis construction make this a little on the heavy side. This probably isn't going in a backpack. Still, if moving a PC around is something you have to do, it's still a much better option than any mATX or ATX case, especially if you ditch the included glass side panel. You can save some weight by shopping smart on your GPU (plastic shrouds win here), as well as going M

Almost a 5-Star Hall of Famer

 I think the community has been waiting for something affordable like this for a long time.  For me, aesthetics was something I really wanted to do, so I went with a Lian Li TU150 instead.

There are some decent air coolers that will fit, but I wasn't really excited about any of them. 4. The fact that your only option with the glass is the vertical mount the GPU kind of defeats the purpose as the graphics card will block off the rest of your build

 Here's why: 1. When using the glass, you choke out your radiator if you mount it to the side bracket (obviously). So you have to bottom mount it and then vertical mount your GPU. The GPU does get better thermals than some other vertical mount cases, but it has still shown to hinder performance

 Then I thought that I would just do an air cooler. However, most of high performance CPU air coolers don't fit in this case. Any of the Noctua ones that do fit haven't been released in black chromax yet and I don't want to go with their ugly brown. There are some decent air coolers that will fit, but I wasn't really excited about any of them

Amazing case if you don't use the Tempered Glass

  Overall this is a great little chassis. No annoying/ugly branding, very svelte and nice looking. Cozy inside. High quality construction overall

Fits mATX + ATX PSU!

 There isn't much space behind the motherboard tray for routing cables that are not thin. The included 2 120mm fans started to develop a loud rattle and I had to take them out. The product pages for the CM fans never outright say sleeve bearing (they always say sealed long life bearing) but I suspect that they are sleeves and unfortunately their noise made them unbearable. I used them on the top of the case where they laid flat, which sleeve bearing fans always hate

You may be able to get more mileage out of the fans if you mount them to the side panel so that they are "standing up."

 The top cannot take a radiator and combo due to the mounting placement and clearance, and I think the price which is 84 in the UK, 95 in the US and then 150 in Australia is still asking a bit much. However, it is a fun case to build inside and it gives you slightly more space to maneuver for things like components like the GPU. The overall look is great the front grille design, but the cooling fans is definitely something which adds it's lovely depth to any build with that cavity, especially if you can catch it from a slight angle, the ability to customize the mode and the colours on the fly From that front panel is a good touch. The lighting system, of course, can synchronize with all those major board, vendor RGB tech and there's also the extra 3 pin connectors

 It has 802 11 ax otherwise known as Wi-Fi 6, giving you support for that new wireless standards. We have greater bandwidth as well as providing bi-directional MIMO support. Asrock has given gaming X a flexible, integrated, IO shield, so you're not going to struggle to fit it into your case. The PCI Express m dot 2 slots been given this huge heatsink cover which promises to keep your is nice and cool, as well as keeping that GPU heat away from your drives and on top of those features

 Tech'S hard drive brackets, but again those don't come with the case. They will need to be purchased separately. Okay, so, finally, we're gon na get a closer look at the clearance options within p400, a just to verify what fits and what doesn't and so for the CPU cooler fan Tech's specify 160 millimeter. Phanteks Eclipse P400A / P400 Air Review

 Yes, it’s something I should probably have researched more about, but wiring the fans properly is the hardest part about building this PC so far. Newer motherboards are almost all 4pin connectors and me being inexperienced am worried about burning things up on my Mobo or damaging other components in my pc.  There are a few things I do like: The velcro straps for cable management are an awesome addition to the case and probably my favorite feature. I really like the cooling capabilities with this case and it’s front mesh panel

 That’s about it.  This being said, I definitely wouldn’t hesitate to buy a Phanteks case again. I think I’m a little bit more picky than most consumers. Phanteks is a brand I’d give another shot based on what the community has been saying about them and their performance compared to other cases

 If you wanted to very similar to some of the fractal art, design versions, the actual cases themselves or the actual kind of mounting sections you can buy on places like overclockers and amazon. For about six pounds, apiece, which i guess that is a sizeable amount of money, if you can put it on to it, what is a relatively budget case, but it would have been nice to have maybe at least one or two of them, if they're retailing for Around about six pounds here in the uk, you can pretty much guarantee there's at least a 50 markup on the prices at the retail, so to actually manufacture them for a small piece of metal, with a couple of pieces of plastic also going to cost. Maybe a pound two pounds each, so i think just to be able to put maybe a couple of them in there just as an option for those people that do want to use them. It would have been nice to have them included rather than having this kind of otherwise pretty much useless section

 Do let us know i'm sure, people in the comments section other people watching this video will find it extremely useful to know that for me personally, i think it's way too close. You can get a radiator in on its own or you can get fans in their own, but both at the same time. I think you are definitely going to struggle, but overall, i think fantacs have done. A a relatively good job again depends on the price point

My second disappointment is the actual methods of wiring, so overall actual cable management inside is actually pretty decent, but the one strange thing i found is, i suppose, it's because they've used the original p400 tooling and just chuck these fans in there isn't actually a good way Of routing the cabling for the fans through to the motherboard now traditionally, when you've got any kind of fans or any options for mounting fans in a case, normally there'll be some kind of cut out. So you can pass the cables through to the back part of your motherboard, so you can do it nice and neatly

 I can actually access these okay, so you press the button and you can cycle through the colors now uh what sorry this style, rather so, you've got like the chase effect and you've got this kind of strobe. Then there's a static. I believe that is and then you can go into like the rainbow mode. Also, then you can change color, so there's various options, so you've got your green, which goes into the yellows etc

5 Reasons NOT To Buy Phanteks P400A Digital Airflow ATX Case

 That would allow us to use 3 fans with just one fan header on the motherboard, so you’ll have to buy this separately. If you don’t have a lot of easily accessible fan, headers on your motherboard. And after finishing the build in this case, I have to say that it looks REALLY nice with the bright ARGB fans lighting up the front panel in this very interesting way.

 If you want to see more performance data, you can watch GamersNexus review of this case, who have really put unimaginable level of effort into benchmarking, the performance of the P400A, and they have also given it the case of the year award for 2019. And if Steve is saying that something is really good, then you should really believe that to be the absolute truth., But coming to my own thoughts on the case. I also think that this is a very well rounded case

, You can see the different RGB effects. We have on these fans, and the performance is also really great because of the mesh. So all of that makes it a really well rounded case, and the mesh also integrates very well into the design and doesn’t look an afterthought that they went with, because everyone else is also following this recent trend.

, You get a dust filter for the PSU And on top, you also get another filter for the top exhaust, which can support upto 2 140mm fans or a 280mm radiator.. The top seems pretty simple, with just the power button and 2 USB 3.0 ports with the microphone and headphone jack, but there’s more to it
