 It's called the CBX and they've actually created quite a big cavity in the back here which is hollow and you can actually see into it and it saves 76 grams of weight which is then repositioned around the peripheral weighting of the club and also in the sole and behind that black weight which is in the center of the cavity. Maybe it does create a space where a little bit of dirt and moisture can collect but it's quite easy to get out. Now underneath the cavity is a very wide sole, compared to the RTX3 wedge from Cleveland, it's actually 5 millimeters wider in the center and 9 millimeters wider in the toe and that creates a little bit more forgiveness because it just gives, even though the bounce is maybe the same, that extra width is there to help you create a bit more bounce and also to give a bit more margin for error. They use the dual V-sole grind which they have on the RTX3 as well and that's particularly good I think out of grass in terms of just creating a trailing and leading edge which gives a lot of versatility because there's also a bit of camber towards the heel and toe as well

 Now for cavity back wedge I think the feel from this is really good, we've been trying lots of different lofts, they go from 46 up to 60 degrees and whichever one you do, coming from the grass it really is very good indeed and this is the advantage of that wider sole particularly for mid to high handicappers, I wouldn't rule this out for better players either I have to say, it just gives you that extra margin for error and I've found that particularly out of heavy rough or sort of soft conditions around the green you can open up the face a little and that extra width from the sole creates the bounce I think we all could do with and that creates the forgiveness. Now I've had this in a variety of conditions around the green and out of sand as well and it really plays very well indeed, not a great deal different to the RTX3's, I think what you're going to get from the RTX3 is probably that sort of slightly sharper feel that you're going to get from the blade, probably be a little more versatile in certain situations if you really want to open the face or hit it high or hit it low but really in terms of general play it really is the best of both worlds, you're getting the performance that you would expect from a good wedge company like Cleveland but yet you're getting the extra forgiveness which the CBS is bringing to you and I think for the majority of players I would recommend checking this out because not only does it have a lot more forgiveness it's also got a lot of feel as well, I mean they're calling it feel balancing technology we've pretty much always got to have a three word technology from Cleveland and that is because they've moved the centre of gravity more towards the centre of the face, they reckon they've got it within a couple of millimetres the actual centre of the club and that is because not only of the weight in the head but because of the micro-carity they've got in the hosel which takes weight out of there and moves it across elsewhere into the head so you've got less weight above the club and less weight to the inside of the club from the hosel and that in turn moves the centre of gravity further out so in terms of feel you could aim this up with the middle of the club and you're going to get the best possible feel and when you have that you'll also have better control of distance and a little bit better accuracy. Overall I think this is a really good wedge and no matter what your handicap level I would give it a go even if you're low single figures because it does provide that extra versatility particularly in the higher lofts I mean you could get a 56 or a 58 or a 60 and just the benefit of having that wide sole can really help players of all ability when you've got those tight shots around the green or coming at a very soft sound in the bunkers and for that reason I think the CBX is one of the best cavity back wedges on the market so please check it out.
