Update: I have been told that there is some kind of larger seat, or a seat extender (see comments below this review). I have not tried it, but my review is on the chair you get out of the box. With the seat extender, it might really make a difference. Original review: I'm 6"2, 235 pounds and this chair is not good for me

Love this chair. Very comfortable but only lasted 3 years before the plastic base cracked and the lift fell through to the floor. I guess any chair with a plastic base will eventually fail this way if you roll in front of your desk on it. Replacing it with a more expensive metal base chair

My brother spotted a Herman Miller sayl that was destined for the dumpster at the hospital he worked at. I wiped it down and there was nothing wrong with it, not even stains on the seat cushion. Great chairs, they hold up really well.

So over time as the pad bends down it begins to tear It appears the foam pad is glued on the support so it is not easily replaceable (like on the more expensive Aeron chair). The arm pad is a poor design. Now my chair with be sporting some sweet duct tape on the armpad. Classy

Considering the price range, I really can't ask more to this chair. It came half assembled, so I just popped some wheels on, placed the cylinder and the seat in place. Really simple assembly, easier with the manual that came with the parts. A lot of adjustable features, especially pneumatic height adjustment and lumbar support

I got this chair mostly for the design and for the quality that herman miller is known for. I didn't want to buy a cheaper chair that would break in a year or two. As far as the materials are concerned, the fabric mesh cushion is nice an firm. Good back support
